The budget is lavish.

I've just finished watching The Last Supper! What a strange movie. Among the cast were Cameron Diaz, Ron Perlman, Bill Paxton (briefly), and Jason Alexander (even more briefly).
No special effects, no intense stuntwork, just a very intriguing story.

Cloverfield was scary as hell! I had no idea what to expect, so I was completely unprepared for it.
It was kind of like a Godzilla movie, in which one of the characters is about to go to Japan but the giant monster attacks New York instead, before he can leave. The monster doesn't look like Godzilla, but it was just as mean and nasty!
I think I need therapy after seeing it! I know the characters in the movie will.

I thought I remembered people being disappointed by the monster in Cloverfield. I never saw it myself.

I don't know where the title of the movie came from - maybe the main character's name was Cloverfield?

I don't know why anyone would be disappointed in the monster, it was pretty terrifying.

Wasn't it 'found footage', with ny totally levelled the place it was douns was renamed cloverfield.

Most, if not all, footage from Cloverfield was supposed to be "found footage". It was "pieced together" after the military snuffed our first interstellar visitor. Rude, that.

Ultraviolet, with Milla Jovovich, was pretty good. A lot of action, weird plot, but I didn't know any of the other actors.
