He has become Teflon coated to the degree I've never seen.  He cannot be sued/punished/held accountable for anything he does or does not do.  With Barr in charge of the justice dept., it will be fixed so that when his term is finished (if that happens--trump really does want to become a dictator) he cannot be sued/tried for anything he did as president.  So, no, he will not be punished.  Not even really in the court of public opinion; you see this country is much sicker and stupider than can be imagined.
