This is a hoot, but I expect the minister didn't appreciate it.
A minister was completing a
Temperance sermon. With great emphasis he said, "If I
Had all the beer in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."
With even greater emphasis he said, "And if I had
All the wine in the world, I'd take it and pour it into the river."
And then finally, shaking his fist in the air, he
Said, "And if I had all the whiskey in the world,
I'd take it and pour it into the river."
Sermon complete, he sat down.
The song leader stood very cautiously and announced
With a smile, nearly laughing, "For our closing song,
Let us sing Hymn #365, "Shall We Gather at the River."
See you at the river. |

Too funny. Both the story and the picture Nimitz posted. _________________ everything is changing

Talking about pouring beer. In the entertainment section I posted an online game that challenges you to draft a perfect pilsner. Tricky, but fun. Give it a try. _________________ ~ Let us be reasonable ~

Yeah, it's nice.
I prefer the double wood balvenie. Friend of mine had a bottle of 18 year old Ancient reserve glenfiddich. Very nice too. _________________ What stinks?

Glen Fiddich is good, but it's a bit too mild for my taste. I like the flavor of Glen Livet, not too mild, but not too strong. Just right, smooth and mellow.
Of course, I won't drink anything younger then 12 years old or blended unless it's in a mixed drink.
My uncle drinks Johnnie Walker. _________________ Namaste,

I'd agree with you on the regular glenfiddich, but this ancient reserve had a nice bite to it; appley and warm.
And I wouldn't drink blended even if I was dying of thirst. Although I do have a bottle for my friends who "pretend to like scotch"-I pour the first single malt, and then switch for blended, they can't tell the difference.

Why do you keep Cragganmore in the freezer? _________________ Namaste,

So it doesn't melt the ice in the glass. True scotch drinkers serve it at room temp with a little water. I like mine a bit cooler. |

As the ice melts and the whisky warms the flavors become stronger.
I would like to try all the Single Malt Scotch Whiskys.
But I don't think my wallet or liver could take it. Maybe I'll win the lottery then I can drink my way across the highlands.
Just me and my Shetland Sheepdog, Jake.

I've had most of scotches in the pic. Is that a good thing?
PS,
I'm a member of Clan Armstrong, I am a border reaver. Unless you pay me off I'll have to steal your live stock and possibly kill you. Then when you get into a clan feud, I'll be for hire again. The side that hires me wins, guaranteed!
