[u] Theistic evolutionists think that God has power to influence natural selection but that ignores the mighty power of the anti-chance agency that is selection. There is no reason, but the circular argument that God had us in mind that the teleological argument makes.Selection on its own makes new life forms." [Causalism] denies foreknowledge of terminal states, preordiantion, purposes, goals, and fixed fates. It hold that natural events take place sequentially.Events occur only as other event permit them to occur, not as preordained goals or purposes permits them.End states are consequence[causalism],not foregone conclusisons of end states[teleology]... Teleology explains an end state by simply asserting it given at the beginning. And there by putting the future into the past, the effect before the cause, negates time." That is backwards causation! Thus, there is the contradiction between causalism and teleology that shows no need for God in the evolutionary process. Theists merely guess that they can coexist! Now, they try to use the two category classification of origins [causalism] or contingency and creation[[teleology] or necessary being to obviate that, but that is to beg the question of the second category. Such mighty purveyors of anti-creationism as Francisco Jose Ayala and Keith Miller advocate theistic evolution ,but as Amiel Rossown @ Skeptic Societ yin his essay on Miller shows this point. They know more about evolution than I but let faith lead them to nonsense.

If God influences natural selection, then he is doing a lousy job of it, considering how many millions of species have become extinct over the eons. The Permian-Triassic extinction, for example, resulted in the loss of 95% of all species--the worst extinction event in Earth's history. There have been many such events, leaving me to wonder why God creates all these animals, only to watch them get wiped out later on. Seems like he isn't much of a God if he cannot foresee these catastrophic events ....or maybe he plans those, too, and just likes killing things.
