Since one of the mods took it upon themselves to censor an inside joke (which was clearly a fucking joke), I can only come to the conclusion that you know who you are and why you did it. Fuck off, pussy.

Take issue? Whatchu talkin' bout, Willis? Where in my post did I imply anything about not seeking out new ideas? Again, that was not the forefront, nor the undercurrent of the thematic nature of my opinion. Minute points were used as reference illustrations against one facet of "progression", not progression as a whole, and those vaguely applicable statements were hand blown into glass slides and thrown underneath the AC microscope of logistics, yet life to the observer remains an unseen fly on the red wall of my post.

The rules of the Love Shack are as follows:
-No flaming
-No trolling
-No verbal abuse
The mods are the sole judges of when and whether any of the above rules have been broken.

Hi Chrissy.
I don't know who removed that part of your post but I think I can shed some light as to why.
The Love Shack was created to be to super-nicey-nice place of AF and so vulgar, or otherwise offensive content, might be removed, regardless of whether it was meant to offend or not.
To be fair, I too think you should have been notified via PM about this.

Two weeks haven't passed since the Love Shack was called a pathetic and intentionally half-assed attempt at moderation, and an attempt at making it look like we have done something about the problem, when in actual fact we have done fuck all, and you're already calling us power hungry?
Yeah, I know you weren't the one who had the initial objections, but all I'm asking is for some understanding. What the hell are we supposed to do if on one hand we're being accused of doing too little, and on the other of doing too much?

I thought it was created to give a space for discussion without the usual assholes who can't debate without insulting people. In this respect, I think the subforum has been a success. The usual suspects are not be found there, apparently because they are unable or unwilling to restrain their constant ad hominems.
My personal opinion is if there's content which looks to be "offensive" or a personal attack, the mods should first PM the offending poster first (and the person the attack was directed against), unless a complaint was first raised by the person attacked, in which case the post should be summarily deleted or moved based on the mod's judgment.

I assume, and I could be wrong on this, that post was not intended to be a personal attack, but rather a bit of satire in Chrissy's typically enigmatic and somewhat lyrical writing style.
I could definitely see, though, why a mod would assume it to be a "below the belt" attack. However, if the practice was established of PMing the parties first, this wouldn't have been an issue.

One hiccup in two weeks isn't so bad, and as I stated above I think the subforum is a success in that the usual assholes have opted out of discussion there. I think the moderation practices just need to be refined. I wouldn't want that subforum to be censored for mere vulgarity and such if it wasn't in the context of a personal attack. However, maybe there should be a poll on that, as I'm sure some people might complain that's not good enough (as they've already been doing). |

There is no need to PM the parties first, nor for a person to claim to be offended before a mod acts. The Love Shack was created to be, IS, and will continue to be a heavily moderated forum.
The rules of the Love Shack are simple and non-negotiable. Mods are not going to debate with those who've broken those few simple rules, nor entertain appeals to "free speech", "it was just a joke" or any other reason/excuse. Such would only crack the door open to future antagonists to use similar grounds and then expand upon them, to the eventual demise of the premise of the Love Shack.
Keep it clean and civil at all times in the Love Shack, or get used to having your posts moved or deleted. Period. If that's too much to handle, stay out of the Love Shack.
