A strong atheist is defined as someone who actively denies the existence of a god or gods: There is no god.

A weak atheist merely lacks belief in any god or gods without actively denying a god's existence.

I don't like the terms associated with a weak atheist: weak, negative, passive. But I don't know any other terms for it.

I am as certain that there are no god/s as I am certain that I DO exist. Can I absolutely state god/s do not exist? No. But I see zero evidence to support god/s claims. So I am an Agnostic Atheist, I have no knowledge or belief.
I am absolutely certain the god of the bible does not exist.

I am as certain about a deity not existing as i am about a square circle existing.

They are both logical impossibilities.

heh.. baddogma and I have the same thoughts!

Though I consider myself a weak atheist or agnostic atheist (having no knowledge of any gods and therefore not believing in any), I am no less certain than a strong atheist. I simply state my views in a way that is consistent with my knowledge.

I chose "Weak" just because I don't know 100%. I do know that the gods that mankind has thought of are false, though. Give me a god and I'll tell you why it's a logical impossibility. However, I would change my mind given any evidence of a deity at all.

The existence of a deity is a spectacular claim, requiring spectacular evidence. C'mon dude, you know me better than that. Razz
