Mutiple Player Content is actually scaring me. I don't think I want giant penises and furries and raptor jesus's walking around on my planet. Even worse if some little crab thing walks to the ocean and giant friggen vagina jumps out and eats it. I hope we can limit at least some of the content that we get from other players. |
You can flag peoples creations if they are innapropriate so I hear. There's a parental mode on it too. Do not fear the vagina.

Funny, a thread about this game pops up every few months. I've been looking forward to this game as much as any game I can remember. And the wiki article finally has a release date, Sept 7 for North America. Finally. I anticipate a lot of tired mornings at work this fall.

This just in.
Spore will REQUIRE you to have an internet connection to verify you have the legitimate copy. It will be constantly rechecking you have a legit copy.
Lets say you activate your legit copy and your internet connection gets cancelled because of whatever reason... not able to pay bill... downloading too much and your provider ends your internet.
You will have 1 week max before you will lose your ability to play your legitimate copy of spore.
On the otherhand if you download and pirate the copy... you wont have any problems with playing the game.
The reality of this spin is that peope without internet access ever will never be able to play a legit copy. While those with internet access wont buy the game.
Oh and they arent stupid. You will have to make a long distance call to India every 10 days that requires a minimum of 30 minutes on hold before Ron (aka Rohit Ramakrishnashivapetilan) finally picks up and asks them to recite a randomly generated 50 character alphanumeric so he can generate them a 200 character activation key which they have to type in perfectly the first time or a new 50 character key is created and the whole thing starts over again. Oh, and it's case sensitive too.
