Doesn't seem all the bad to me. Probably just villainized by Christians. I like the nine satanic sins lol:
Stupidity
Pretentiousness
Solipsism
Self-deceit
Herd Conformity
Lack of Perspective
Forgetfulness of Past Orthodoxies
Counterproductive Pride
Lack of Aesthetics _________________ "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, underwhich weak minds are servilely crouched. Because it's a religion founded on being super rebellious. Yeah, man! That'll show those Christians! _________________ In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. But in poetry, it's the exact opposite. -Paul Dirac

i really like the way they look at things. they do not worship the devil rather they admit that they are sinners and say: If your going to be a sinner, you might as well be the biggest sinner on the block _________________ KILL the pancake

I used to be a Satanist... the philosophy was quite fulfilling, basically hedonism along way. It worked for me. Unfortunately I later realised that the vast majority of the group actually did believe in Gods, Demons, or Magic (spelt with or without the 'k' depending on if you're being trendy). It seems most of them are just as delusional as the other religious groups out there. This became apparent after I was taken down from the "respected members" list on the official Church Of Satan website for being too disrespectful to the theistic Satanists...
...yeah, maybe they deserve that rep. _________________

The christians in the US need someone to name as evil incarnate for the week else they implode from pent-up jackassery. Hence why they targetted the church of Satan with fictious stories and libel about what they do to children.
The irony of course is while they were crying about fictious crimes agaisnt children, the catholics priests were having a molest-a-fiesta with their alter boys. _________________ Composite things are like dreams. Satanists have invited their "bad rap" onto themselves. Clearly satanism exists because a bunch of douchebags decided it would be fun to mess with the heads of christians because its fun.
Well, its fun, sure, but its also childish. And I must say, Tornado_Creator's description of why he was turned off to satanism ring true to my experience. Its just... silly.
I don't know which group is most ignorant/childish: Satanists or Christians who actually take satanists seriously. _________________ "I love and treasure individuals as I meet them; I loathe and despise the groups they identify with and belong to" -George Carlin

Some of the ideals where good... looking out for number one without being cruel or classically evil, avoiding self-deceit and counter-productive pride, and a respect for intelligence and critical thinking. The ironic thing is, despite "pretentiousness" being a sin in Satanism, most people did nothing but empty posturing. It was a sad day when I realised this. _________________

Probably along the line of reason why Hilterism didn't quite take off and not many people trust the John Wilkes Booth Movement.

Satanists are exceptionally rude for no reason.
I was about to join their Church just for shits and giggles, and because I like their ideas (I don't agree with all of them), so I posted some Nietzschean views which conform to Satanist writings.
Some guy named Daark who is a mod basically tells me he's a big shot and he doesn't like me and he'll ban me. I literally hadn't been there for 30 minutes before I was told off like this.
So I write to him back through PM, telling him he's broken 11 Satanic Church rules.
His response: ban me. So I contact Ventrue, and he doesn't care.
Satanists are just as bad as the Theists they hate.
And the funniest thing is all I did was just post one post that wasn't offensive; no harsh language, just an analysis of the ideas of Nietzsche in a "Nietzsche 101".
Besides, to join the CoS you have to pay them $200. _________________
