Let us not forget the Catholic Church’s reasoning behind why condoms are not effective at controlling HIV/AIDS.
| Quote: | | In 2003 a senior Vatican official claimed condoms had tiny holes in them through which HIV can pass, exposing thousands of people to risk. |
| Quote: | | The Aids virus is roughly 450 times smaller than the spermatozoon. The spermatozoon can easily pass through the 'net' that is formed by the condom. |

Do you honestly think the common man has any true say in Vatican wealth? Really? The Vatican is a bloated bureaucratic piece of shit that is a disgrace to my motherland. My blood family is roman catholic, and I can assure you not once has the Vatican's wealth touched their lives, their hands. No, the only money related to the Vatican and my family was their weekly tithing, which on a peasant and new york factory workers wages, was a good bit of their money.
Fuck the Vatican and fuck you for thinking the assholes would ever give the real workers more than scraps and pity-hand outs, drops in a bucket of what wealth they should have spent on charity and not the most vile and disgusting of worldy spoils, and what wealth they never should have had in the first place, which they won by screwing the common man out.
Fuck you and your Vatican-apologizing ass. |
You seem to be completely oblivious to the incomparable charity work of the Church. |
Incomparable?
Yeah. Not to mention spreading Aids like wild fire because they are against condom use and every charitable contribution comes with a little mind fuck.
Bill Gates and Warren Buffett, two atheists alone contribute as much or more than all churches COMBINED! |
Care to substantiate your claims?
As for "spreading AIDS like Wildfire" --- you sure you want to go down that route? |
Why is it you always want us to do all the research for you? Google "charity Bill gates". It doesn't take much effort. If I remember correctly it was over 49 BILLION dollars and that was years ago.
Yes I want to go down that route, you'd be a fucking idiot to deny that claim. Aids is epidemic over there and the Cathylick church is responsible. Research that yourself as well. I'm short on time. |
Stupid catholic morons. Seriously, religion is the only accepted insanity. It should be classified as an insanity and people like that should get therapy. |
Since when is religion "accepted"?
Forgetting Relativism are we? |
Is your contention that religion is not accepted? |
If you believe the studies being cited on this thread represent a decrease in religious affiliation, it's obvious to say that acceptance of religion is decreasing. This is also an accurate representation of my personal experience. |
What I believe has nothing to do with YOUR contentions. I'm not sure how you got so confused with such an easy question, but I'm willing to chalk it up to your inability to focus long enough to realize that your religion is a grand fantasy, and am willing to try again...
Could you simply provide a straight answer this time?
Is your contention that religion is not accepted? |
If you want me to be crystal clear: It is both accepted and rejected, though increasingly rejected (according to cited sources) --- and never was it "completely accepted". _________________ Apostolic Apologetics

Sorry, I just googled the Dawkins Kids camp - and the Times Newspaper - a supposedly unbiased source - headlined: "Dawkins Sets Up Kids Camp To Groom Atheists"
And they call us the ignorant ones! _________________ All The Best From Your Heathen Friend,

"How sad the author of the God Delusion will start messing with kids’ minds now, too."
I fell out of my chair reading this.
I didn't get my mind messed with, I was never taught about ANY RELIGION as a kid. I was left alone, and now at 15, I've found out my religion by myself, with no influence. You see, my parents who are both agnostic, never EVER mentioned religion to me. I found out everything by myself.
And I'm pretty sure that little kids or whatnot just so happened to find the Holy Bible by themselves. I'm pretty sure there was a lot of influence*AhemBrainwashing*by their parents.
Religious friends I know? Go to church and were baptized as a baby. Atheists I know? Were never taught a damn about any religion.
Which makes me come to a conclusion.
Us NOT teaching any religion, or in other words, letting the child make up his own mind is 'brainwashing' to them. _________________ "When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle. Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me."

Anyhow, whoever wrote the story must obviously be just another butthurted believer, who btw, got crushed in the comment section. _________________ Encyclopedia Dramatica / Atheist

It's called REASONABLE SKEPTICISM, because.....guess what?
It's based on reason, which is backed up by fact and knowledge.
It's called consciousness raising, like feminists did- having certain movements, the opening of all girls clubs, etc.... Everybody said that it was them just trying to be like males... Well? It raised consiousness on the topic. I say good for them, and good for Dawkins, he's a fucking legend. _________________ "It really is a nice theory. They're having a Camp Quest here in South Florida for winter break - I'm tempted to volunteer for it. Sounds like a fun time! _________________ Atheism, a lack of religious belief, is still a belief system, is it? And I suppose the fact that I don’t collect stamps is still a hobby? (anon)

As it happens, they have much of it wrong. RD isn't subsidizing it, it isn't his camp and it is based on the camps in the USA, Camp Quest.

Hrmm....an interesting thought. I wonder if I'll have any time. It certainly would be an adventure, I haven't been camping in a long time. _________________ "When you smiled you had my undivided attention. When you laughed you had my urge to laugh with you.
