I'm actually not surprised that Tom Cruise is a Scientologist. He was out of his mind even before he released that info. _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT

True. I don't believe the founder really believe in this.
He's just using this "Religion" for money and fame. _________________ "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." Albert Einstein

Absolutely.
This should not even be a religion, it should be scientificaly proven, or thrown in the trash.

They claim not to believe in evolution, so thats a big hit to there postion since evolution has been proven. _________________ "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." Albert Einstein

The Raeleans ahve been a "godsend" to the ID movement, because their intelligent designer isn't an omnimax god, just a hyperintelligent alien.
Whenever it becomes too obvious that the IDers are talking about the Christian God, they just need to trot out a Raelean to babble until nobody knows what anyone's talking about anymore. _________________ Nos laetus edo qui votum opprimo nobis.

Yes, it also occured to me that their beliefs are for a big part founded in and caused by the UFO phenomenon. The very notions of this "philiosophy" are a direct result of that phenomenon. Strangely however they seem to dismiss important aspects of the UFO phenomenon as such:
| Quote: | | There are civilizations out there watching us and they certainly don’t want to land here since we are still killing each other because of skin color [or religious beliefs]. They are too afraid to come here |
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ra%C3%ABlian_beliefs_and_practices
Which puts big parts of the UFO phnenomenon (the whole "contact" thing) into question. It's a little strange to disavow the tennents of a belief that is a prerequisite to your own theories.
