Well, first recommendation, ignore the old testament. secondly, focus on Jesus. think of it like the story of roshomon, which is told through the perspective of many to get at one truth.

Judaic Trivia: According to the apocryphal "BookOf Adam and Eve" the first woman was not Eve. Her name was Lilith, an uppity red headed harridan who scared the crap out of Adam. So god banished Lilith and made Eve, who was more docile (that turned out splendidly too) Lilith became Queen of The Demons.. To this day there is a superstitious dread of red headed women.Especially amongst some Hassidic Jews. |
So that's why everyone hates gingers.....
To be honest, I've read the NT but not the old, the new was confusing enough and horribly boring, I just don't have the patience.

When I was a theist, I tried to read it. And I read most of the NT. But, so much of the OT was dreadfully boring. Guess that shoulda been my first clue...

What do you mean "everyone" buckeroo?
Although Australian by birth, I'm 100% Celt by ethnicity. I was in heaven in Wales and Ireland ,and there are large numbers of redheads in Cambridge. Of course it makes perfect sense; Celts are the master race after all. We are the most brilliant and most talented people on the planet. Ask any Irish,Welsh or Scots person. (As a group; individually,not always.I'm living proof of the exception to the rule)

Trivia: Do you know from where the peoples called "Celts" originate? Not ancient Gaul. (France) In Roman times,their land was called "Germania"

"The Book Of Adam And Eve" is not part of sacred The Bible. It's part of a group of books known as collectively as "apocrypha", which means they are not part of the canon. There is a vast body of such books in both judaism and christianity. Currently perhaps the most famous christian apocryphal work is "The Gospel Of Thomas",which is part of The Nag Hammadi texts.
It's worth noting that the official christian canon is not universal amongst christians. Some christian churches ,notably the Copts, include texts considered apocryphal by other churches.
