Obama will accept the Democratic nomination at Denver's Invesco field -- which can hold over 75,000.
I wonder if such an event will make him appear more Messianic? Even with 80,000 tickets, it will still be a very tough event to get a seat.
Also let's hope it doesn't rain.
---
And I get this message from Obama's campaign via facebook:
| Quote: | If you make a donation of $5 or more between now and midnight on July 31st, you could be one of 10 supporters chosen to fly to Denver and spend two days and nights at the convention, meet Barack backstage, and watch his acceptance speech in person. Each of the ten supporters who are selected will be able to bring one guest to join them.
Make a donation now and you could have a front row seat to history. |
 |
So, are you planning to attend? |

I didn't read this thread, but I did want to state my incredulity at the fact that Obama supporters will pay $3,000 to see him. _________________ In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. If i was old enough to vote for Obama i would
His interview with his family has phenomonal
and he seems to have such a great intellect.
I obviously don't agree with his religious views
but we cant win every time.
One thing i don't understand is that they keep talking about McCain being such a great leader
because he served in the military but even
though Kerry served in the military they chose
the guy that joined the AIR FORCE!
republicans always seem to mold to what they are voting for _________________ "I personally don't have any kind of religion. Whats wrong with the Air Force?
McCain > Obama in my opinion. I will be one month short to vote. Im a little upset about that.
And you said something about his religious views...I dont think America is ready to elect an "Atheist" leader. They probably think he will ban all religion and destroy churches/synaggogues. _________________ We are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Ive always been told the Air Force is a much safer than the Army
while Kerry was risking his life in Nam, Bush was on a boat and flyin his little plane in circles
All McCain is gunna do is the exact same thing Bush has done, and thats fuck over the economy with a red, white, and blue dildo
Im not saying the president needs to be Atheist "neccesarily", i want him to be educated and not blinded by faith, though Obama isnt Atheist he seems to have a nice tolerence which is not what we have from our current leader.
for bush it seems like its all just fire our guns wildly in the air and scream "rootin tootin varmit" but Obama seems like he is very calm and collected
but of course we arent exactly discussing bush so let me stray back on track here
McCain will just continue this economical slump we are in _________________ "I personally don't have any kind of religion. The Air Force being safer? Maybe but keep in mind all those men and women risk there lives everyday and signed up knowing they could die.
I believe McCain will keep our country the same or a little better while Obama just makes it worse. I dont know a ton about politics but i see that happening.
Obama and religion is the one thing i like about him. He seems tolerent of religious men/women and Atheists alike. _________________ We are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further... |

It seems safer considering you could be ground infantry in vietnam, the ground seems much more dangerous
I understand all forms of war are dangerous but i hear people all the time saying if they get drafted they are
joining the Air Force because they will feel safer there, but i can understand its still dangerous
well i can respect you stick with your decisions and only time will tell how this thing will work out _________________ "I personally don't have any kind of religion. This election is going to be one of the closest in history in my opinion.
It could go either way.
I want to go ahead in time and figure this out lol! _________________ We are all atheists about most of the gods that societies have ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further... |

I don't think just anyone can go. I'm sure it'll be a hard ticket to get given the number of volunteers that will be given first dibs. Plus I'm more than a little disillusioned that Obama has sprinted towards the center. Maybe he's another Bill Clinton clone. We'll see I guess. _________________ _____________

Nowadays, the AF is just as dangerous as the other branches. Airmen, no longer serving as 1st Class Deskmen, are on the ground as escorts right beside infantry (Army & Marines) in Iraq and Afghanistan. The same goes for Navy sailors. Retention is down across the boards. _________________ Send Your Kids To Camp Okutta

Obama raises $52 million verses $22 million for McCain in June. Average donation about decreases to $68 per person. Meaning more people are donating than ever before in June.
Still I was and am worried that the Obama momentum in his base was fading a bit as he rushed towards the political center. _________________ _____________

I think that his "movement to the center" has been somewhat exaggerated in the media. He's always been a religious guy and the FISA bill has a lot of Democrats voting for it, whether I agree with it or not. Oh well, hopefully it will garner more support from independents. _________________ "Agnostics: Atheists without balls." -Stephen Colbert |

They're at it again.
Hmm, the suspicion is that Hillary is still going to try to sabatoage the Obama campaign.
"Gosh I'm so tired of divisive exchange and I've got one or two things to say about change like the change we must change to the change we hold dear I really like change have I made myself clear."
Commentators are saying it is impossible to make fun of Oabam. Jibjab proved that they are wrong. _________________ Nos laetus edo qui votum opprimo nobis.
