The SF Chronicle examines the major candidates' views on medical marijuana, and finds Obama to be the most lenient. _________________ The whores and politicians will shout 'save us'...

I'm independent, and sympathize with some aspects of the Dems, GOP, and Libertarian parties.
Obama's closest to my interests, which is why I'm for him. He's economically to the right of Clinton, isn't a total warmonger, and tends to be less authoritarian and more to the left of Clinton socially. That more or less is where I am, although I'm probably further left socially and further right economically than Obama. But close enough.
It'd be a tougher choice for me if it was Obama v. the McCain that ran in 2000. But the 2008 McCain is a pandering whore who's probably gonna die while in office. He's also really exposed his ignorance on foreign affairs and economics too many times.
Clinton absolutely blows. She's an authoritarian who thinks that video games should be the matter of Congressional inquiry, and that the best way to solve economic problems is to command them away. Plus she's run a fairly dirty campaign and lies constantly (including to herself).
I could go on forever, but that's enough. _________________ The whores and politicians will shout 'save us'...

I like Nolan-scale type tests, where they rank you socially and economically. While the Political Compass is flawed, it's better than a straight-up "are you Democratic or Republican" type tests. I'm not aware of a better one out there. _________________ The whores and politicians will shout 'save us'...
