(that's Japanese for ''hello'')

Anyway, I've just recently converted to atheism (well, maybe I'm not exactly an atheist, because I'm only 90% sure there is no god and 10% unsure). Either way, I'm an ex-christian. The problem is, the rest of my family is very christian, so they don't know about my new ''faith'', and I would like to keep it that way, for now. If my mom knew, no doubt she would totally freak out. Anyway, I'd better log off, because I'm using the library computer and I have very little time left. See ya!

Welcome to the forums mate! Nice to see someone from texas on the boards. Oh BTW, Atheism isn't a faith. Its really nothing except a word that says you dont think God exists... and to the rest of us that you are intelligent Smile

Hi Matthew!

There are quite a few atheists on the various forums that can't reveal their atheism to their families or their communities for fear of very negative responses. At least there are these boards to vent your frustrations, and discuss the aspects of religion that don't add up.

Welcome. As a former Christian, I can sympathize. It took me years to be able to even talk to my family about it and most of them still don't quite believe it.
