I'm thankful that in all my years of being a Christian, I was never in an environment like that. _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"

My mother goes to a huge church, similar to that. It is SO akward, with everybody raising their hands in the air and such... _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT

Not any more, but before I admitted I was atheist she made me go, yes. _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT

did it just stop or did she try to bring you back to the light? _________________ "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." Albert Einstein

She usually leaves me alone. She does say she will pray for me often, though, which is no bother to me, since I know it won't do jack. Since I told her I was an atheist, she has not once tried to convert me. I find that very nice of her. _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT

My family is made up of new-age "born again" fundies. My aunt wants my mother to disown me, since I'm atheist. Is it the 21st century or not?! But, yeah, I always stay separated from my family. _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT

She won't get within speaking distance of me. She probably thinks I'm the devil or some shit. She doesn't want my mom raising satan... _________________ VERITAS OMNIA VINCIT
