Possibly too many pinned threads?

I first would like to say the mods here do a great and thankless job here in these forums.

I would suggest that there are too many pinned (sticky/announcement) threads in the main discussion section. I have a low resolution display on my laptop and the pinned threads take up half my screen when I come to the page. Maybe put many of them in an announcement section of the forums that forbids new threads to be created by non-moderators.

Opinions about sticky threads?

I'd tend to agree with you. Most of them are old and don't need to be pinned now anyway. Since the whole split and the subsequent lack of traffic, I hardly ever go through the individual forums now and just use the 'view posts since last visit' search to view active threads so it doesn't really affect me that much.
