I first would like to say the mods here do a great and thankless job here in these forums.
I would suggest that there are too many pinned (sticky/announcement) threads in the main discussion section. I have a low resolution display on my laptop and the pinned threads take up half my screen when I come to the page. Maybe put many of them in an announcement section of the forums that forbids new threads to be created by non-moderators.
Opinions about sticky threads? _________________ _____________

I'd tend to agree with you. Most of them are old and don't need to be pinned now anyway. Since the whole split and the subsequent lack of traffic, I hardly ever go through the individual forums now and just use the 'view posts since last visit' search to view active threads so it doesn't really affect me that much. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

In part but many of the sticky threads aren't really all that vital to the overall board. Currently there are 8 threads pinned. How many are that important or have been commented on in the last week? 1 or 2? _________________ _____________

Ones that are outdated, which a number of them are, can just be unstickied and allowed to slide down the list, right? _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

I've thought that for a while, but it hasn't bugged me enough to say something about it. _________________ Namaste,

I just always go to "post since last visit" and see what people are talking about. _________________ "If people are good only because they fear punishment, and hope for a reward, then we are a sorry lot indeed." Albert Einstein
