And yes, people like Batman more because he's just a regular human.
But I was dissappointed with some parts of Batman Begins.
For one thing if the detectives in Gotham tried hard enough they could easily figure out who Batman is.
At least he has a mask. Superman puts on a pair of dorky glasses..."Where'd Superman go? It's just good ol' Clark Kent here now."

BarkAtTheMoon, what's so bad about Genesis?
Eh, they're not too bad. Dated a bit. It's more just being that big of a fan of 80's pop music. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

I also thought the DaVinci code was pretty good. It was like a big treasure hunt.
Really? I rented that movie and ended up falling asleep. I thought the acting was cheesy, the subtitles were annoying and the plot seemed way too forced. It's like they went out of the way to force feed every detail, instead of leaving some things for the viewer to figure out on their own. Edit: The book was way better, imo.
I thought V for Vendetta was awesome.
Perhaps your opinion is slightly skewed because you were tired?
It wasn't just a wonderful movie (and yes, the book was better), but I didn't notice that the things you did. In fact, my complaint was that it needed MORE subtitles because some of the actors had very rich accents and I couldn't understand a damn thing they were saying at times.
I also liked the production. It had sort of a Batman meets Indiana Jones type of feel to it.
Yeah, I'm resurrecting an oldie but goodie. I have seen V for Vendetta a number of times and I think it's just one of the most fabulous movies I have ever seen. I can really relate to V's political philosophy. Over the past few years, we found out that the Roman Catholic Church was full of corrupt priests and don't get me started about the Bush Regime. Could Bush be the defining reason for the decline of the western civilization?

Was The Fountain any good? I want to see it.
I'll update my list with a few movies I've recently watched on DVD:
-Children of Men
-Pan's Labyrinth
-Blood Diamond
-Marie Antoinette (very much a chick flick)
-Babel
-Thank You For Not Smoking
-Apocalypto _________________ This space is reserved for inarticulate meat puppets who have no true perspective outside the refuge of quotation marks.

i really liked the Fountain. it was very artsy and rather vague... you really have to pay attention and 'feel' the movie. _________________ -=The Believer is Happy; the Skeptic is Wise=-
