We can throw back at theists their argument which Nelson Pike expatiates on in his "God and Evil" to state that we would be robots had we free will and not be inclined to do wrong.Yet, by special pleading, they would state that God is not the Supreme Robot! However, He is thus by their logic.Another matter we can throw back at tme is John Hick's strawman based on the all or nothing fallacy that we demand paradise when we merely state that just a little wrongdoing would contrast with the good. They aver that Heaven will be paradise. We thus can throw that back at them, stating if in Heaven one could be free and still not be inclined to do wrong, why not in the first place heree? The tests of soul-making are just a dodge to exonerate God for not putting us into as safe a place as possible as good parents do for their children. Theodicy is just one dodge after another to make palatable dooing that! Soteriology tries to make palatable ritual cannabalism and human sacrifice. Christology tries to make palatable making a quack into a god!

another way to counter the "soul testing" dodge is to ask them about stillborns and retards.

maybe ricky retardo would have been the next hitler had his brain worked right. maybe that stillborn was to be the next V. Tech shooter.

guess they will go to heaven and use their free will to fuck everything up, just like the devil (who they believe started a war in heaven in which a third of the angels rebelled)

hmm war in heaven? thats totally got to put a few pot holes in the golden streets, and make a few windows of our mansions in the sky get blown out.

if we get killed in heaven during another war, will we be redeads? Laughing

Hillbilly, that is a good point! So, we could get kicked out of Heaven anyway. I thought once saved, always saved. Eh, Christinanity just doesn't make sense, but some say for us to trust in the Lord to make sense. In other words, we should sef-brainwash! Errantists say it is not for the Bible to give facts on the heavens but how to get to Heaven. But who needs that nonsense? So, there is nothing left of the book to make sense as there is bad history and much bad ethics.

How true, so many arguments from a theistic stand point have failed over the years. So what they have regressed to is. Instead of the bible being the infallible isnpired word of god it is now considered by many to simply be instructions for everyday living. This was a discussion I had with a couple of people the other day. To me, even looking at the bible on those simple terms it still fails horribly in so many ways.
