But if you want to believe in the christian theology, you have to forget that we can be moral and kind without deity belief, because in christianity one has to believe in a deity to have morals and kindness, since without that deity we are considered worthless..............Bad circle, I know..........

My grandparent's were not Okay with it at all, but after the initial discussion it was never brought up again. The only thing that "changed" was that we no longer had this large part of our lives in common any more. I was never guilt tripped or threatened or provoked in anyway regarding it. Maybe it was never taken seriously, I don't know.

Agreed with the "her Christianity" part. My grandfather could have been any religion, or none, and he would still be a wonderful human being.
