first it was that guy playing judist priest on his banjo, now its this guy playing van halen on a violin! I don't even like heavy rock and I think this is totally awesome!

yeah I heard of those, and am planning to buy the collection at some point.
as for the above video, it differs from the "pickin' on" series which puts a bluegrass spin on the music (which I like) , but the violinist above actually manages to make the violin sound almost like a rock guitar. I didn't even know you could do that!

I dislike heavy rock, and that includes this guys performance, but I can still appreciate talent when I see it. this guy is awesome. making a violin sound like a rock n roll guitar is just simply amazing to me.
