Cnn story. Stupid incompetent terrorists. The one time they try to do something that would be beneficial and they miss their target.
Cheney is just a dangerous person. As pretty much the rest of the administration has backed off on talks of attacking Iran, he continues to say it's on the table. What happened to the good old days when VP's just stood behind the pres at State of the Union speeches and generally accomplished nothing?

I was thinking the same thing. They always succeed in some quiet market filled with innocent people, but the one time they can do us a solid they send Gilligan. Dumbasses.

Beside...this makes no sense at all. If the reporting was correct, and I doubt it, the Taliban are truly stupid. The current US admin is among the most potent forces for spreading terrorism.

We basically allowed them to regroup and restructure when we invaded Iraq, and this is how they repay us? Ingrateful bastards...

Maybe they should take him on a hunting trip and have him dressed up as a lawyer.......

You know, as much as I dislike this asministration, I think I get what they're doing. I'm serious. I think Cheney's supposed to be the stick while the rest of the aministration is the carrot. The problem is the stick in this case is not persuasive (does anyone REALLY think this administration will attack Iran? Even they know the military's spread too thin. Besides, the US is quite rusty with regards to nations that can fight back. And please don't give me this "they'll do it to accelerate the return of jebus". I'm not entirely buying that) and the carrot is not very tasty (the administration really doesn't seem to have their heart in it). Looked at from this angle, their strategy seems quite clear to me. I WOULD actually agree with it in many cases, however, the Bushies have shot their aministrative wad already. Iran has very little, if anything, to lose while they have a shitload to gain...
Once again, Bush does too little too late...
