No more, sadly. Since December I moved to Coventry. I came optimistically thinking all the bad reputation will be untrue and it will be a place just like any other. But no, it really is a dreary chav hole. My life is a much better because many of my close friends are around here but nonetheless I miss Leicester a lot. _________________ Theists wank too. |

Lubbock Texas, the Buckle of the Bible Belt, and home of the highest STD rate in the nation (thank you abstinence-only-education)!
Whatever happened to your 'Horns? Boy did they totally fall apart after playing us.

and if by totally falling apart you mean going 2-2 and losing both games by a total combined 8 points and ending up #13 in the nation then ya, they sure did. But when your a perennial powerhouse the standards are a bit higher. _________________ A liberal is a conservative who has been arrested. A conservative is a liberal who has been mugged.

I was mostly referring to their bowl win. How anyone thought they should be thirteen is beyond me. I mean, A&M and K-State dominated them. So did we, unfortunately, our guys just got lazy and didn't finish them off.
Better luck next year.

So they win their bowl game and its considered falling apart? Yall techies have some weird standards.
And please, in the KState game McCoy went out on the first drive and Snead was a shitty as hell backup (which is why he transferred before the bowl game). If he hadnt have gotten hurt that game wouldnt have even been close. And it was obvious to everyone he was still hurt in the A&M game and couldnt throw for shit. But as I said earlier they lost both games by a combined 8 points. How you call that being dominated is beyond me.

So do I.
The deal is you guys couldn't stop K-State's offense to save your lives. Who cares about McCoy, what happened to your defense. Your corners got burned just like they did against us. Between us and K-State, our offense piled up a thousand yards on a defense that was boasting? By dominated, I mean A&M's defense at your offense alive. Texas was just overrated this season, just like Ohio State was.

I don't think theres that many people who post on the forums from PA, though I think theres some who don't post a lot. ;( |

I always liked that on trips up to Hershey Park, but I can't imagine smelling chocolate all the time living right there. Of course, every so often where I live the wind will be just right so that we're downwind from the Kennett Square, PA area. I guess smelling like chocolate beats smelling like manure from mushroom farms any day of the week.
There's a bunch of people from the Philly area, but I think most of them just post on RRS now.
Damn. Now I want some chocolate. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

Hmm, I think I'd much rather live near a mushroom farm than a chocolate factory. _________________ This space is reserved for inarticulate meat puppets who have no true perspective outside the refuge of quotation marks.

Really? So what, does that mean you enjoy the overwhelming stench of shit? You Texans are weird.
Seriously though, up in that area it gets downright horrific on a hot day when the fresh manure is really ripe. I don't know how people live around there. It's like dust everywhere and gets in your clothes, and when you breath the air you can about taste and feel the particles. Makes driving past a cow farm downright pleasant. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

Hey, we're practically paisan! I'm only down here 5 years, but I'm in Flagler. I probably drive right by you whenever I need to buy...oh...anything!!! We have three Waldgreens here, but no retail stores. If I dont want to go to Walmart its either 30 miles to you or 30 miles to Daytona, and I only go there under extreme duress.
No offense, but I'm getting out as fast as I can. Can't help it. I'm a Northerner, always will be. All I do down here is sneeze and wheeze. Between the crabgrass and the scrub pine, you guys might kill me yet! |
But of course! That's our master evil plan after all, to slowly sufficate every Yankee that comes down here with our hideous crabgrass
(No, not rly)
Truth be told, the reason I want to move into the city is because I lived the suburbs my whole life and I love the "big city" feeling. I stayed in St. Louis for a few days on a church trip WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY back when I was religous, and I loved it!
What part of Flagler do you live in? Their's a Wal-Mart in Palm Coast, although Palm Coast is a bit of a zoo. I worked at one of our offices there for a little over a year and *hated* the traffic. _________________ "Not everything that steps out of line, and thus 'abnormal', must necessarily be 'inferior'" - Hans Asperger, 1938 |

No, I just really like mushrooms. I know exactly what smell you are talking about, though. Not only did I live on a ranch with 200 head of Brangus cattle, but I lived in a area of Texas known for its dairy farmers. If you think breathing is difficult in a car within a three mile radius of a dairy farm that's been cooking in the triple digit summer sun, try working on one as a favor to a family friend or punishment for misbehavior. Definitely not cool. _________________ This space is reserved for inarticulate meat puppets who have no true perspective outside the refuge of quotation marks.
