German Satire Magazine Shocks with 'Unbelievable Competition'
| Quote: | | A Muhammed look-a-like competition is slated to take place during the Frankfurt Book Fair, and it has already offended and outraged people far beyond Germany. But Titanic, the monthly satirical magazine behind the inflamatory event, insists: "It will be a blast." |

Probably a deliberate choice of expression.
Kudos to them if it goes ahead. Although I would not bet on it. _________________ “The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see.” - Ayn Rand |

If they're really going to have a Mohammed-look-alike contest, they should have a Jesus and a Moses and a Buddha look-alike contest too. Maybe even an L Ron Hubbard and a Joseph Smith contest, also, just to be equitable! _________________ "True wisdom is less presuming than folly. Only time will tell if that statement was simply provocative ,or ironic.
It's certainly dumb.

Hmm...I have to say I respect that they're making a stand against over sensitive religious types.
On the other hand however, we all saw what happened to the simple comics, whose aim wasn't even to offend mohammed...
If they were able to blow those so out of proportion then this event could really be a pretty damn dangerous thing to carry out.... _________________ No practical definition of freedom would be complete without the freedom to take the consequences. I say let 'em blow shit up, if they're so offended. It'll be just one more example to the rest of the world that Islam is a violent, irrational cult. _________________ "True wisdom is less presuming than folly.
