She's a British rapper with a hit single called "Paper Planes." You might know it from the Pineapple Express trailer.

Thankfully, it doesn't. It's completely ridiculous, I know. Smile

Now that's the first time I've EVER heard anyone admit that. I actually like her clip of "Babushka",but find her doing "Wuthering Heights" rather scary. I think it might be the eyes. An intelligent and talented musician, Kate turned 50 July 2008.

----The Queen of Rockabilly, Wanda Jackson does some pretty good country stuff too.

What's it like? I sometimes feel like I have it, but I think I'm confusing light-headedness (I've got kind of low blood pressure) with depersonalization.

You should probably stop smashing your face on your keyboard. Wink

Well, the best way I can describe it is this: have you ever stayed the night somewhere away from home, woke up, and had this moment of confusion where you didn't recognize your surroundings? Sometimes I have the same experience with my body. That's part of it anyway. My hands or voice will suddenly seem just as unfamiliar to me as that room.

In milder cases, it just feels like my body is on autopilot and my consciousness is just watching everything that is going on, or perhaps even absent. Have you ever had someone call you when you were just waking up, and you have a long conversation, but you only remember it later, and you don't feel like you where actually "there" for the whole thing? Or maybe when you have been drinking a little bit you find yourself having a conversation, and it is like your body is just doing it by itself and you are just kind of observing just like all of the people your body is talking to are just observing? It is kind of like that.

Moments of depersonalization are actually pretty common. If you have had these experiences in the past, don't worry, a lot of people have. And, yes, things like low blood pressure can probably trigger such an episode just like they can trigger depression. Perfectly sane people have episodes of depersonalization. It is kind of like depression or anxiety. Lots of people go through it, but if you find it happening all of the time and it is disrupting your life, you might have a disorder.
