Oh, and i don't know if I believe your friends at physics forums.
P.S. don't use the same screen name on other forums because it makes it easy for me to stalk you.

How am I a fraud?

Nobody's saying you are a fraud. It's just "Dragonfall is a fraud" is a much better title than "Look, dragonfall asked some other people about continuous real valued never flat on an interval functions with an uncountable number of zeros."

But I am having a hard time trying to understand this function. I imagine it like this:

So if you keep doing this forever, you think that you will get a function, continuous, real valued, with uncountable zeros, that's never flat?

Yup. If you do this infinitely many times, you will get a function with uncountably many zeros since it's 0 on the Cantor set, which is uncountable. The Cantor set is also nowhere dense, so it's never flat. And any distance function is continuous.

O my god, how can we have a set of uncountable numbers that is not dense? This is horrible. I just said that if we have an uncountable set, then we have to have it dense. I mean, we have an uncountable number of numbers and there is an open interval around EVERY ONE that does not include one of the numbers? That's crazy. You're all crazy. You've all escaped from a nut pen with extra nuts. Someone please explain to me how we can have an uncountable set of numbers that's nowhere dense. Did the mathematicians make it up?

Ok, ok, I'm a fraud. I'm a wannabe math and science nerd. Let's face it, anybody who claimed to count the real numbers should be locked in a nut pen. It's not my fault. I didn't have the resources to finish my math degree. i still think the product of derivatives is the derivative of the product.
