I've been told the average Japanese smokes five times more than the average American and yet they still live longer than we do. The only problem with anything like that is that since there is so much anti-smoking, you'll never get an objective study to show whether diet or smoking actually is responsible for cancer like that.
But if that is true and Japanese do smoke more than us, I would bet diet plays a larger role than smoking in cancer. |
Exactly. For example, I've been told that Soy has some incredible attributes when it comes to cancer. If this is the case, then those cultures that have a soy-rich diet already have an advantage. |

Or maybe it's genetics. Black people are more prone to getting cancer from smoking, but they're also far less prone to getting malaria. _________________ Namaste,
