Umm wasn't Pee-Wee Herman, arrested for diddling little boys?
OK I exaggerate,he's only been arrested twice:Once for masturbating in public,at a porno theatre,(1991) and once for possession of child pornography, (2002)
Funny? Well no,I never though he was, at all. His arrests means he's unfunny AND slimy. I always ways thought there was something faintly sinister about the character, but didn't know why. |

Did you read the circumstances behind what was considered "child pornography"? Hell, I probably have worse child pornography. I have (presently at my mom's house in Texas) a DVD copy of In the Realm of the Senses, purchased at Media Play (a large American video store/music store chain), and there's a scene in there where the main character grabs a little boy's wee-wee.
A lot of these raids have as their public face a response to child abuse and child predators, but in fact they reduce civil liberties across the board as they give governments increased license to spy on what movies people are watching and so on. Also, to show they're putting their foot down, law enforcement agencies arrest people for possessing materials that had nothing at all to do with child abuse, and this is what seems to have happened in that 2002 case of Paul Reubens.
The first case was equally egregious though. Who is harmed when somebody jerks off in a jerk-off booth at an adult video store? The only reason anyone would go in there is to masturbate, and they do it with full knowledge that every previous occupant also masturbated in there. If you don't like it, don't go into a jerk off booth; it's really that simple. Fuck. |
