Can I play pedant for a moment?
Trout is a theist using a theistic construct, "priests", to criticise atheism. It boils down to "atheism is just as bad as theism" - hardly a compelling argument (my sig is a parody of this just-as-bad-as-us style of theistic rhetoric). You, conversely, are not using an atheist construct to criticise theists when you say 'foreskin fascinated, Semite tribal deity'.
(That said I enjoy using the phrase "fundy atheist" because it is both amusing and telling for certain types of atheists. And I'm the first to scream "North Korea" when atheists start on about how the world would be a better place without religion.)

Perhaps if we had some attractive, atheist women baring their breasts in this thread...
...it would:
1. Help me acheive my goals of getting this thread on the atheistforums.com top ten list.
2. Get the 'Gerbil' closer to deconversion. (he's never seen a naked women's breasts)
3. Help Trout observe a different, kinder, gentler 'working model of godless thought enfleshed', that he mentions in his OP.
4. Give these West Coast atheist babes somethin' to do tonight instead of watching the Olympics opening ceremonies.

atheism is not synonymous with a totalitarian regime.

Neither is a lack of theism synonymous with a more rational country and a better standard of living. I'd rather live in prominently Christian South Korea than dominantly atheist North Korea.
