No, just the religions that prescribe predestination in their doctrine (In the case of the Bible: Galatians 4, Ehpesians 2, Romans 7) and all religions that ascribe to an omniscient god. And I wouldn't say I have an issue with the concept, either. I just have an issue with people who don't understand their own scripture and the attributes of the god that is defined by their particular scripture. _________________ "Shake off all the fears of servile prejudices, underwhich weak minds are servilely crouched. If you were afraid, your action was brave.
The polite response to a sincere compliment is "thank you".
Dismissive modesty and self deprecation is disrespectful to the person who offers the compliment.
I was taught good manners are simply showing consideration for the feelings of others.
But, I'm a boring,opinionated old fart,what would I know? |
