Quantum Entanglement | Quote: | | Some scientists have even gone so far as to claim that quantum entanglement shows that there is no such thing as space, and that everything in the universe is still touching. |
There is another solution: infinitesimals.
Nonlocality proves that there is no space (hence no time, hence nothing at all) only if it's assumed that Cantor set theory is wrong. If Cantor was right, the universe could be infinitely small and still have parts (infinitely many parts, in fact).
Which is the view I incline toward, since if you have the ability to claim that there is nothing then you must be wrong. Shades of Godel. And in my view, worth a good head explosion in anybody's book. _________________ K Michau

First, it did mix a few different things under one heading. Second, it denied disentanglement altogether. _________________ K Michau

Doesn't entaglement mean that if you hope for something it is ever so slightly more likely to happen.
I saw that on "The Universe" on the history channel and it blew my mind completely. _________________ "One is all for religion until one visits a really religious country. Then, one is all for drains, machinery and a miniumum wage." - Aldous Huxley

New age bullshit has no basis in science godwarrior.

Is the real thing still mindfuckingly interesting? | Yeah. Just not so interesting that it violates four or five theories. _________________ In science one tries to tell people, in such a way as to be understood by everyone, something that no one ever knew before. That article was a great read. I LOL'd more than once. _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"
