Hey guys, im still in high school (going on senior year) and i am extremely intrigued in physics and the direction it is taking as of the post einstenium era... but i was wondering.

say i get my 4 year physics degree at michigan university (the school i plan to go to) afterwards what are the job opportunities out there?

Go for your masters, as I'm planning to do. We are of the same field, and all.

I doubt you have the intellect to graduate hight school, let alone get a masters degree.

I dunno about a BS/BA in Physics. All the physics guys I knew in college went on to PhD programs, and we lost touch.

What I do know (from talking to some people and personally going through it after dropping out a PhD program myself) is that if you have some good analytical and quantitative skills, coupled with proof of decent writing abilities and basic social skills, you'll be able to sell your skills at plenty of jobs and/or different fields. Also, if you just go to college in the first place, there'll be plenty of career counselors there to help you (your high school counselors prolly don't know shit, although they may).

In short, I don't know anything about Bachelor's degrees as a final degree for you, but if you attain some graduate education, you're most likely gonna get something you like.

I'd PM the posters joesephpalazzo and edd here about it for more info, as they're physics guys who probably knows more about your specific question. Dawkadoodle may also have something to say about the matter.

If you without warrant demean the intelligence of one user with baseless slurs, then all of the sudden call out another user for a spelling error (jambrose,)...Wouldn't it be better to not make any errors yourself?

A fantastic display of the logical, not the emotional, process in action.

There is a difference between a keystroke error and misspelling a word. Its best you learn these elementary truths before commenting further.
