To cheapsuprise's point, nobody gets anywhere in life on luck alone. This little girl worked hard to be able to paint like she does. Phrases like 'god given talent' bother me when speaking about athletes, entertainers, etc. who have worked for hours and hours to get to where they are. And it doesn't help that when these hard working people recieve awards, they often thank 'The Lord' right off the bat. I would love for people to be respected for their work ethic and not for their 'gifts'.

You allow her credit of working hard which I agree she has had to do but you won't allow her to express herself and have her own opinions? You are bothered by words? If she wants to give credit to god, who are you to say she shouldn't? If you read any of the material available about her, you will see hard work mentioned now and then as part of it. If you read more, you will also see her taking credit for her choices even if she credits god. Since god isn't something you have a personal experience in, you won't be able to see why it takes away nothing but rather adds to the ego when you experience god and thank god. It certainly worked for me. My ego was enhanced.

Connecting to spirit directly is completely different than following a religion. Some religions put the ego down. Connections with spirit glorify the ego. This girl is part of no religion at this time so I am not worried about her not feeling good about herself.

Claiming to be shown visions from god is not an opinion, it is a claim that is either true or false, factual or not. It is a claim she, and you, cannot support. She is part of a religion called Christianity. You don't paint two pictures of Jesus called 'The Prince of Peace' and 'Father forgive them' while claiming to be inspired by god and then say you aren't Christian. Her Christian bent is obvious.

Your ego must be huge if you think you can connect with god. Aren't you special?

If you read some of my more recent posts after having done some more research, I acknowledge that she is christian but doesn't belong to any church or religion. They also recognize all religions.

So depending on where one sits on the labeling, some will see her as christian and others will see her not as a christian.

God is a great equalizer. We are all special. We are all connected to god. We are all greater than some of us know. Others of us know.

I have a tremendous ego and don't believe in god.

Speaking of rules and regulations, did you happen to notice that religion is filled with lots of rules and regulations and connection to god(s)? According to your view, wouldn't they cancel each other out?

God is the holy grand pubah of rule givers. Therefore, you contradict yourself and god is in fact the great destroyer of ego. I win. Very Happy

No, not according to my view.

No, I do not contradict myself. I think you are mistaking the god I know for the god you know.

Wow, what have I done! LOL, this has generated quite a lot of discussion. A lot of you have made excellent observations about her work and asked some really smart questions. I especially liked the point about how she had someone model for Jesus. I didn't even notice that when I read her story. LOL, so on one hand she has "seen heaven" but she doesn't know what Jesus looks like... Riight.

As for all this dream reasearch and metaphysical mush, I can't really think of anything else to say than "whateva". You can sit around and talk about stuff like that all day long, but you'll never come to any agreement because it's all just whatever you want it to be in the first place. Come back when you can prove to me that it all just isn't completely pulled out of your butt. I've heard literally doezens of Reggie's shows on stuff like this, enough to know that it'll never happen.

To the uneducated, yes. To those who study them, they are vast pools of knowledge.

Vast pools they may be, but vast pools of knowledge may be over streching things.
