Probably... so you go and take out McCain, I'll take care of Romney, and I'm sure we'll get lots of volunteers to deal with Huckabee _________________

Guys, guys!
Easy, both of you will get a gun, and you'll pull the triggers at the same time.
See? There's enough Huckabee for all of us. _________________

It's supposed to be a "major announcement". Looks like Moloth already broke the news tho LOL
Edit: There was no announcement at all. It was more of a motivational speech than anything _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"

I guess considering he won 35 delegates out of 2,380, and the race has been over for ages, not much of an announcement is really needed. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

LOL. You guys should have been in the chatroom for the live feed last night. There were like 8,000 Ron Paul supporters in there while watching the video at the same time. The strangest thing was how many of them were 9/11 "truthers". It made me wonder if I wasn't caught up in some sub-cultural, rebellious zeitgeist that really had no hope or meaning from the beginning, it was just something people like me like to be a part of.
I think the ideas that Ron Paul has are outstanding, don't get me wrong. And I still can't figure out why he was snuffed in the media, why Fox News didn't invite him to that debate a few months ago, and (most importantly) why more people didn't vote for him.
Maybe the idea of a "Strict Constitutionalist" really doesn't appeal to people. Sounds too old-fashioned, I suppose. What would we want with the Constitution anyway? Liberty is soooo overrated. |

| i know this thread is old but im glad many people did not vote for him, dont get me wrong ron paul is the best thing for america, however i run the view that most of america is retarded, ignorant, and easily manipulated-gullible- so, i think that whoever we vote for and elect is more than likely the worst choice for our country! GO RON PAUL GO! |

NO, not yet. Remember who Huckabee promised to bring on as a running mate? First you wait for him to get elected, THEN you smoke him. Then we'll have Colbert for president. _________________ Namaste,

I noticed that this thread is number 6 on the most popular topics (by reply) AF list. That's pretty impressive for someone who didn't win a presidential nomination.
Which reminds me, I've always enjoyed this quote by the late Frank Zappa:
It has never mattered to me that thirty million people might think I'm wrong. The number of people who thought Hitler was right did not make him right...
Why do you necessarily have to be wrong just because a few million people think you are?
-- Frank Zappa, quoted from *The Real Frank Zappa Book
*Has anyone read this book? It's a very good read. |
