Amidst the struggling economy, the continuing quagmire in Iraq, and the trivialities of the presidential campaign, it is stories like this that lift us up, that give us all hope. The search for understanding and the quest to explore the universe are perennial drives that bring out the best in us humans. _________________ The path of least resistance and least trouble is a mental rut already made. Very cool. This is another positive example of man's astonishing accomplishments. I am eagerly awaiting the results of the retrieved samples. _________________ This space is reserved for inarticulate meat puppets who have no true perspective outside the refuge of quotation marks.

Yesterday I watched a PBS special on the amount of work and years put in to get this lander to Mars. I was pretty emotional for those men and women when it made it.
If anyone remembers, the last polar Mars lander never made it. _________________ MY YouTube Videos |
