I'm addicted to caffeine too. It doesn't even affect me anymore. I drink at least 3 sodas a day and the first time I had coffee was when I was 3. |
It affects me in the sense that I get a very bad headache when I don't have it. But since that first discovery of that headache years ago, I map out local coffee chains wherever I roam "just in case". I also own travel-sized makers and travel sugar and cream for hotels that dare not to supply an in-room coffee pot!

I loved Buffy. Got all 7 seasons on DVD, though, there is actually only a few episodes I've watched more than once.

I like cats and dogs. Not sure I'm "obsessed" with either. And, I also agree that marijuana should be legal. I've had a few sips of alcoholic drinks in my life, but, I don't like them. Never been intoxicated either. _________________ Please visit my site at www.caseagainstfaith.com featuring critiques of Lee Strobel and other apologetics

Yeah, I've tried online tests and had IQ's ranging from 115 to 278 depending on which ones I take. My recorded IQ was done by Mensa years ago and I did three tests getting scores 181, 182 and 186 so I simply average it off at 183 (which is what they did anyway). Honestly I'm not sure if having a ridicules IQ makes me a genius, sure I am practically super numerate, can do optical puzzles and count cards but is that really intelligence or just cognitive ability in a single area. IQ tests are skewed towards maths and optical puzzles.
Still, I hope I didn't come across as big headed with that one. |

Yup, IQ tests are very poor representations of intelligence. _________________ "What I'm saying is, if God wanted to send us a message, and ancient writings were the only way he could think of doing it, he could have done a better job." --Carl Sagan

Especially as looking into what that number actually means, it would put me in the top percentile with the chances of someone being more "intelligent" being approximately 1 in 25 million or 1:25,000,000 which I think is pushing it a bit really.
Sure I'm intelligent, more intelligent than most. Perhaps even in the top percentile, I have no desire to humble myself too much. But 1:100 is a lot different than 1:25,000,000.
Really IQ tests just measure how good you are at doing IQ tests however it's a decent enough point of reference for determining ability I would say. _________________

I heard something like IQ tests score higher with people that are more used to math and technology. They said Abraham Lincoln would have a really low IQ, because that's not where his intelligence lies. _________________ Could you repeat that? I think I had something crazy in my ear. |

"ridicules" is the correct spelling according to the spell checker on my computer but I know it's wrong, I just can't be assed arguing with the spell checker, but yeah, I've always had trouble with spelling and grammar. _________________
