For some reason, "24" just bores the crap out of me. I'm sure I'm in the minority here though.
At any rate, welcome, Shprotas! _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"

I've never watched it. With the exception of Lost for about a season and a half, I haven't gotten into any of the ongoing storyline dramas. When I started playing volleyball on Wednesday nights, I got out of that, too. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

It seems to be more a movie than a tv show and they fucked it up with that ridiculous nauseating BOOMBOOM BOOMBOOM BOOMBOOM shit at the beginning and end of every segment. Everybody is yelling and screaming and running...and every government employee is guilty of being involved in the plot to disroy the United States...like we didn't know they are are fucking idiots in real life. And damn, I swear there's a fucking comercial every fucking 5 minutes
so i quit watching it the fucking thing

BATM, That George Carlin quote is hilarious.
I'm a big "Lost" fan myself. Although they may have jumped the shark in the last few episodes. We'll have to wait & see. _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"

Yeah, it really cracks me up. What a great way of looking at it.

I liked it when I was watching it, but after missing a few weeks I completely lost touch with the storyline. I got to when they first went down the hatch and started screwing with the computer down there. I might just end up watching the DVDs once the whole series is finished.
Same thing happened to me with the Sopranos after the third season or so. By the time they came back from their 12 year break between seasons I didn't have HBO anymore. _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

Yeah, I haven't had HBO since I moved out of my parent's house when I was about 17 y/o. I'm almost 27 now, so needless to say, I've never watched the Sopranos. |

You're in Texas...do you have Comcast or Time Warner (I believe they merged last week, anyway)? If so, HBO is like $5 a month and that includes On Demand. Sopranos and Six Feet Under are freakin awesome. _________________ This space is reserved for inarticulate meat puppets who have no true perspective outside the refuge of quotation marks.

The whole flame thrower bit in his act is great. If I can reproduce, somewhat inaccurately, the intro to that bit:
Think for a moment, about the concept of the flame thrower. That's right, we have flame throwers. Well, actually, we don't have flame throwers; the Army has flame throwers. Hey, that's right! We don't have any flame throwers and the Army does! I'd say if we have to go up against the Army, we're fucked. |

Nah, just a pretty basic Satellite package. I have the network stations, the news stations, the sports stations, the cartoon stations, the history stations... What else is there? I honestly don't watch that much TV and I'm kind of glad of that fact. I spend enough time staring at a box as it is... |

Aileron, do you know what show that bit was in? _________________ "The very existence of flame throwers proves that some time, somewhere, someone said to themselves, 'You know, I want to set those people over there on fire, but I'm just not close enough to get the job done.' - George Carlin

I get HBO, CINEMAX, SHOWTIME and STARZ by default for FREE, and I don't even live in the U.S.
