I cannot stress enough to everyone reading this that every voice counts. Since I found the online communtity of atheists in 01 the voices of atheists have exploded.
We must not forget the people in history before who were brave enough to question everything and anything. From the age of inlightnement from Pain, to Jefferson, ot Ingersoll to modern skeptics like Infidel Guy, Richard Dawkings, Ellen Johnson to Brian Sapaint and Brian Flemming.
I am happy to anounce that because of the collective efforts of all our voices we are being heard more and more. Brian Sapiant is going to be interviewed for ABC's Nightline next week, unless rescedualed.
This past couple weeks has seen another atheist couple on Wife Swap, along with a Newsweek artical on the Blasphmey Challege.
Without the prior efforts of every atheist website owner. Without the various atheist organizations in the past, and without the historical skeptics throughout history, we would still be stuck in the stone age throwing dung at each other.
I AM PROUD to live in a country, even with all it's social backward thinking, to have the ability to do what Jefferson said, "Question with boldness even the existance of God, for if there be one, surely he would pay more homage to reason than to that of blindfolded fear."
Thank you, each and every poster, each and every website pioneer on this important subect. Thank you everyone who has raised their voice to set the stage for the new age of reason. We will win as long as we keep going. Scrutiny is the cure for irrational claims.
THANK YOU INFIDEL GUY, ATHEIST NETWORK, AND ALL THOSE BRAVE ENOUGH TO CALL FICTION FICTION! _________________ My favorite song ever is by Diesel called "Sausalito Summernights" a one hit wonder in 1981. |

it's good sapeint is getting air time (and its cool that if he gets famous, I can say I know him ), but then ellen johnson gets air time, and always has, so although it is good to see people speaking out, it's nothing new that they are being put on the news. newdow, was, ellen is, o'hair was, etc.
I don't think it will benefit us atheists until we see the public begin to change its mind about us.
since we are on the topic of our rights, I have a link for y'all. below is the link to a new lobbying group in washington that fights on our behalf.
