I grew rosemary once. It kinda worked.
I really don't enjoy gardening too much overall. _________________ Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it, don't wait for it, just… let it happen. |

With the price of food is going up, it would be advisable to grow your own.
BUT! it is lot of work and plants need constant attention.
One neglect, and the whole thing gone down the tube.
I have grown most of these from seed. _________________ "It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value." Arthur C Clarke |

Very nice! They all look very healthy.
I live in an apartment with no freakin space, so I just have some potted flowers out front. Woe is me. _________________ I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on. |

All in pots, how cool is that?
My bitch association won't let me pot stuff on the balchony.
I toyed with the idea of 'squat farming' on a plot next to me that's up for sale that isn't being used, but a bunch of scary looking winos beat me to it.
I had good results with a small area in back of my parent's house, but they put azaleas back there for some reason. Now all I get is rhubarb and wild berries.
Any of you crazies collect wild? Any luck with morels yet?
Damn strawberries won't show 'til June, raspberries aren't 'til July. _________________ "Setting people on fire is wrong." -Todd "Squee" Casil. |

Growing your own food is going to be very important soon since groceries are started to get more and more expensive. I've started my own little food garden currently looking for more foods to grow and where to place them. _________________

It could be a weight issue. The pots can get quite heavy with wet compost and plants.
Mine is a flat roof of an office below. _________________ "It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value." Arthur C Clarke |

I remember growing up in the country and the family would plant a huge garden every year, corn potatoes, tomatoes, squash, zucchini, pepers, etc, etc. Since moving away, I haven't had the time nor the energy to get back to it. I miss it.
PR, have you ever tried hanging tomatoes? :
I have sooo wanted to try this ever since I've seen it. I've seen some people will grown tomatoes on the bottom and some herbs or something on the top, 1 pot - 2 plants ... too cool.
