That's not the response I was looking for. If you read the comments on the Youtube video most of them are coming down on Arsenio for being racist. See that's reserve racism. Blacks hating on whitey's success.

What's the deal with this "whitey" stuff? I don't think I've ever heard a black person refer to a white person as "whitey" before in my life, but I've heard it thrown around on this board as if you're mocking blacks' use of it.
At any rate....yes, it was very presumptuous of Arsenio to think he just brought Flav on to prove that he's down or something, but it's not out of the question that Ice would do something like that, which is why he asked. Arsenio was kinda dickish about it and yes, it was racist, but not crazy to think that Ice would do that.

Arsenio was giving him such a rough time because he was faker than a three dollar bill. Everything about VI was a gimmick.
Beastie Boys, 3rd Bass, and Everlast (House of Pain) never had that problem when they appeared, because they were authentic.

Yes I wanted to see if you thought Arsenio was being racist or not. I thought Vanilla Ice handled himself well under tough questioning. Not knowing much of that rap era, I thought Arsenio was being a dick.
And 'whitey' is slang that goes back as far as the 70s in LA. At least that's what I've seen in the documentary Wattstax. It's a common as using 'white', 'white man'. I use a lot of slang myself offline: peckerwood, white trash, nigga, bitch, ho, trick, pimp. I've learned from the experienced.

And actually, It's not that a person identifies themselves as "black" or "african-america" that get's me nervous. It's the way they speak. No, I don't mean all blacks speak that way. I mean when somebody speaks that ghetto gansta speak, regardless of color of skin, I feel very uncomfortable. The racist part, I feel, comes in when I realize that a lot more african americans that I've interacted with have talked like that than others.
So... I get uncomfortable.
