That's your gramps. Not you. The stuff about your wife and the kids was adorable, but you flaked out on us on point seven. I demand one other thing about you now, and it better be a juicy detail. |
I wish I had a juicy detail in my life. I get up in the morning put on t-shirt and jeans change diapers and wipe noses all day and stay up till 2 doing homework. On weekends my wife makes me take her out for chinese. When I'm caught up on homework I pop a history or discovery channel DVD (NETFLIX) into the player. The wildest thing we have done in the last 4 years is go midnight bowling when we went to see my folks in Co.
Honestly I got to number 5 and blanked the only other thing I can think of is I drink at least 12 cups of coffee a day. So I lived vicariously through my Grampa does that really automatically make me a loser? _________________ The Resident Theist

No man, not at all. But to be honest, I suspect that hidden in that seemingly mundane story there are a couple of gems of annecdotes. You can leave that to the noses you wipe. _________________ ~ Let us be reasonable ~

Mmmkay... Here's some stuff you probably don't know about me...
1. First sex was at age 14 - with a couple in their 30's.
2. I'm married to a bi-sexual stripper 14 years younger than me. I was having a beer and she was naked and spread-eagled in front of me. It was love at first sight.
3. Never been homesick. Not even a little.
4. Not allowed to give blood because of the cancer.
5. Always have a .7mm pen and paper on me. It's kind of an obsession, so don't touch 'em, k?
6. My toes are very ugly. It involves some self-mutilation. No, I don't know what that's all about.
7. I can't dance. It's so bad, I've been asked to sit down.
8. My teeth are going fast. They started to weaken and lose little bits here and there soon after I started getting chemo treatments. I think I have to have what's left of them pulled and get a full set of dentures soon.
9. I have enough clothes to wear fresh everything every day for at least two months straight - I hate doing laundry.
10. Can hardly believe I've lived 6.5 years so far with terminal cancer. _________________ Yeah... I said that.

1. Can trace my family back to Sicily-Italy/France (Moms side) and Germany/Ireland/France (dads side) within 2 generations. (Adopted, so I never got to have the culture )
2. Born in New York City, New York, but currently live in Sequin, a small city near San Antonio, Texas.
3. Has aquired the status of "Psycho" at local school, due to the fact I can stare at a desk intently, while absentmindedly twirling 2 pencils around my right hand, thinking about the meaning of life, why stuff do what they do, etc.
4. Is a huge FPS, RTS, and MMO fanatic. Regulary attend Call of Duty 4 tournaments (10 dollar enter fee, generally I can walk out with $100+) and WC3 matches (soon to be SC2, I hope!).
5. Met the love of my life (like seirously, this goes WAYYYY beyond high school relationships), and lost her due to my religion. To keep it short, she was an atheist, I was a fundie Christian. She started saying stuff about how God does not exsist, and I completely severed all ties with her, and now I have no idea where she lives so I cant, even if she would never forgive me, tell her how sorry I am, that I know I was a moron, and that if she chooses to hate me for the rest of our lives, I have no one to blame but myself.
6. Have never had a real girl friend besides girl mentioned above. All the girls I know are shallow, religious, and rather unintelligent, and do not know how to think for their selves, but let the fashion magazines do it for them. And they have to coat them selves in a hundred pounds of makeup, so you never know what they really look like anyways.
7. Have one pericing in my left ear, and am planning on getting a eye brow, tounge, lip, or nose peircing. Why? I do not know, its just something I want to do. I also am planning on getting at least 3 tattoos, a galaxy and surrounding space on right shoulder, a planet on left, and the Exar Kun (Star Wars) symbol on my chest.
8. Am extremely non-conformist, which sets alot of people where I live off, who are all nicely dressed, clean shaven, do what they are told unquestionally. I, on the other hand, unless forced to shave, have a goatee and sideburns, growing my hair out long (before that blonde and spikey or colored, not sure which), wear VANS shoes, shorts, and a tool t-shirt, while sporting either a Fedora or a Beret.
9. Intill lately, basically have mentally beat my self up for the last 16 years. I have done so many stupid things, almost gotten my self killed about 6 times now, caught by the cops (have yet to get in trouble though) 3 times, have basically become an outcast to my family, and have failed classes in school twice (and maybe once more, this year, if I cant get my damn math and spanish up... but no matter how hard I try, its damn near imposible when you are not taught a damn thing and then expected to know the shit.
10. Tend to do very spontanious, crazy, hillarious, etc. things, just to get some laughter going. Said things include Coke and Mento-ing a school, snorting sugar/pepper/Chilli Lucas, running around the school in nothing but a bikini (im a guy), wearing a dress to school, and other various deeds. The positive side to these things is just that list alone made me about 200 dollars richer, from accepting bets that I wouldn't do it. Its amazing how people never learn that when I say I will do something crazy... I WILL do something crazy . _________________ "I Cant Pass Up This Opportunity To Make Myself Observed, I Cant Pass Up This Opportunity To Let Myself Be Heard..." - Seether, Out Of My Way

1. I have 2 kids. Brooke, 4; and Caleb, 2. Brooke is a princess who loves everybody and everything. Caleb (Biblical name) is a creative problem-solver who will charm you until you give him what he wants. Or else he will tackle you.
2. I grew up on a west Texas cotton farm. There are pictures of me on a John Deere. This is perhaps the biggest reason I went to college.
3. Through all our troubles and my stupidity and general bastidity (new word!), my wife is the best thing that ever happened to me.
4. 400 hp is ideal.
5. I sell closeout graphite golf shafts on eBay as a side business. My net profit for this is just below the poverty line. I can also build golf clubs and custom-fit you for a set. Regardless of this, I only play golf 4 or 5 times a year.
6. I like to work out 3-5 times a week, and I'm currently a part of a flag football team with a local church. They cuss all the time and we've never once prayed before or after a game.
7. I have a man-crush on Dave Matthews.
8. I've just become a hockey fan within the last year. I went to a Dallas Stars game last season and now I can't be bothered to miss a minute of their current playoff run. My first love is football (Dallas Cowboys) and I go to about 3 games a year. I also go to about 3 Dallas Mavericks games a year, so I'm pretty into basketball as well. I like baseball ok but I despise the Texas Rangers, so I'm left without a team. I usually watch the World Series and that's it. Racing is retarded. I've turned left before, so no excitement there.
9. I bite my nails like they're made of filet mignon or something. I truly hate that about myself. Been doing it for almost 25 years now.
10. My current vehicle (Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer) has almost 150,000 miles on it. I'm quite proud of this fact since I do all the work/maintenance on it myself. I need to keep it running at least until my wife's vehicle is paid off. Then I'm thinking either sports car or motorcycle, as long as this one is still running. _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"
