Just a thought that crossed my mind while looking at your photos..
Try to get some shallow DOF. Maybe try having something in the foreground of your pics.. like shoot a statue from behind a bush or something. I like the artistic effect you get by having only the subject in focus but the foreground and background out of focus.
I need to get a good still camera this year. I had an ancient cheap digital that I just threw out. My goal would be to get a good collection of 35mm lenses, and then get an adapter so I could also use them with my video camera.
