I'm disappointed. I just reread the parameters and realized that Lumpy does not intend to prove any single particular Conspiracy Theory. That seemed to me to be the hook to this whole debate. Otherwise it pretty much just comes down to "A jet hit the Pentagon"..."No it didn't"...."Yes it did"...."No it didn't". Which is kind of lame. I wanted to see Lumpy put forth a 'solid', tangible alternative theory to what happened. I mean, you can poke holes in anything, even the truest of stories...but if you are going to allege that this was the plot of "Illusionists" and "Conspirators", then I would say heady accusations as these would require some clarification of just what the "truth" really is. Hopefully I'm wrong, but I don't see that forthcoming.

That was what bothered me in reading his 2 posts...and has with most CTers in all of the previous 9/11 threads. No positive claims or evidence. Just nitpicking at details of the "official story." Nobody ever said the 9/11 Commission Report and all the facts of the day are perfect. I said that right up front in my initial position statement. If all the inconsistencies tell us is that we don't have an exact picture of what happened on a really chaotic day without some sort of a plausible alternative it doesn't really tell us anything at all. After a couple posts, this is basically progressing how I thought it would when I accepted his challenge.

Lol@Chrissy. I will have my vengeance in this life or the next.

If anyone's still paying attention, I posted a response to lumpy's first post and am working on his second post.

This is getting more one sided than Lil' Mike versus Glass Joe! On the pro side, you have mountains of data and evidence, not all of it complete and not all of it crystal clear to be sure, but mountains nevertheless. On the con side, you have what is quickly revealing it itself as little more than a pathologic paranoia against the United States government and a copy of Mulder's "I Want To Believe" poster hanging forlornly in a corner.

I'm almost becoming embarrassed for Lumpy. He's starting to come off like that guy in True Believer who kept claiming The Phone Company had Kennedy killed.

Lumpy, since Bark wanted to reply to the rest of what you said in another post, maybe it would be a good idea to remove your last post until he does so.
Posting a such a long reply before he could catch his breath might be a bit disruptive for the structure of the debate.

...Unless Bark doesn't mind...

Well, I already read it so whatever, I'll deal with it when I have time. Considering the first half of it or so was more or less one line knobish responses and insults without actually addressing the issue or supporting evidence, much of it barely deserves a response.

I never noticed this debate before. I wasn't expecting to learn anything as I went reading it, but figured what the heck. And, I did learn a couple of things, like normal explosions don't create huge fireballs unless there is something to burn. Makes sense, just never thought about it. And I learned that there is a bigger fuel tank in the body of the plane (at least on the 757) than the tanks in the wings. I'm not sure exactly what use I will have for this information, but, interesting anyway.

As far as Lumpy, well, um, well... The idea that whoever concocted this plot would have thought, "hey, I'll need more exposive power than one plane can provide. I'll (send another plane) (pile up explosive material at the target site) (whatever)..." well, lacks, um, well...

I've been searching for the words to make this very point. I might have to quote you in my response in the debate. Cool

Well I didn't really wanna start my own thread over this... but I think it's actually pretty neat. Now I figure this is on pentagon and the claim that the jetfuel wasnt burning hot enough to melt the beams... may never have been said... but perhaps someone will watch this video and drop this claim afterwards. As it's very convincing.

I cant believe Im on an Atheist site which involves intellectuals who demand evidence, logic, rational and are debating the Pentagon.. For one parts are on the ground just google it. Secondly the Vice President was in the building a good idea to have the vice President in a building thats gonna knowingly get hit. They just asked nicely if the hijacker can aim at the empty part of the building. I cant believe Atheist who I regard as somewhat rational and smart can believe these lame ass theories shame on you Ct believers take the same approach you would with God,Jesus etc please!
