I trust the police for the most part in my area. Hell, I've been helped out by them a few times even. As long as you don't break the law, there is nothing to be worried about.
Of course, perhaps I can't say the same about American cops.
Well, if you were Polish, and mentally ill, then Canadian cops, and NOT JUST ORDINARY COPS - the RCMP - might taze you to death.
That's what happend just recently at the VIA.

But regardless, I'd rather have a one world government, than no government at all. Yes, I said it. I despise both ideas, but the latter to me is basically calling for anarchy. And now I'll get 'flamed' by the anarchists who are clearly in the thread.
Well I'm not going to flame you, but how do you think it would be if a world government became corrupt, or despotic?
Is your plan just to cross your fingers that it will never happen, for ever and ever? Think of how little say you have in anything right now. How do you think it will be when your voting in an election which encompasses billions upon billions of people?
If enough regions of people became angry, or desparate enough, then there would be a big fucken war and the globe would break up into smaller "nations" again. Lots of people would get killed, and no one would learn a damn thing.
I exspect this will eventualy happen in China BTW.

I'm sorry though, its repugnantly stupid to think that A: Governments will just disappear.
Sure, but who is asserting this? Not me. Has sexism just disappeared? How about slavery?

B: That standards of any kind could be kept in any area as soon as the government breaks down.
The standards that people WANT to keep. Such as holding the door open for the person behind you. Did government make a LAW requiring people to do that? NO... not yet anyway.

C: That Corperations wouldn't just become governments upon themselves in their interest zones, and you'll have much less say in their doing.
This happens now. Corporations are practically in a symbiotic relationship with government. They have almost the exact same structure.

And currency anyone?
I'll leave that to Ivan and Kob. I'm not terribly good with economics. _________________

Currency doesn't require a government. Banks can create their own bills (backed by gold), contract with a mint for their own coins, or a mint can simply make coins. In fact, unhooking the government from the mint/printing press serves to prevent the inflationary tendencies that nearly every government in the history of government has had. _________________ aa #51, DNRC o-, Member of the [H]orde

do you reeeeeeeeeeeeeally mean that?
Since the government has disarmed us, we are forced to rely on the government to protect us. Government created problem has more government as a solution.

And yet people still haven't figured out that the police are a bigger danger to citizens than gangs are.
Wrong.
This coming from the person who got body slammed into the ground by a cop, like you’d just committed a murder or something...which is the same exact shit they pulled with Josh over a failure to appear warrant from running a stop sign 10 fucking years ago. Imo, law enforcement cause more problems than they alleviate.
Yes, but if the choices are municipal police and roving bands of armed thugs...sorry, I choose the police.
Since when are those two particular choices, the actual, and only choices?
Moreover what's the difference between them? IOW:
In scenario A you are murdered by a band of armed thugs.
In scenario B you are murdered by a band of police. (armed thugs in uniform)
The difference that I see, is that in scenario B you were murdered by accident,
because the police can not be trusted to even use "non-lethal" weapons properly, and probably no one will be held accountable for there fuck up, even AFTER all the facts surrounding your death become known.
I'm not sure if you were including the words "by accident" as sarcasm or not. Sometimes I can't tell with you. But you are right, almost every death (including the intentional ones) is an accidental death and the police are seldom held accountable. The cops who killed Don Scott never got any punishment, even of the "slap on the wrist" variety.
The biggest difference is what happens if you dare to defend yourself.
In scenario A you killed a criminal, end of story.
In scenario B even if the cop was doing something illegal you killed a cop and therefore you fry no matter how justified. Just ask Cory Maye. _________________ Nos laetus edo qui votum opprimo nobis.
