Easily replicatable. Infact I could probably do that using vector imaging. So I could likely do an even better job.
It also doesnt depict anything seemingly. At least with fractals it shows the visual method of fractal math. Or ying-yang depicting how good vs evil yada yada.
So frankly I say it's below satisfactory. I see no valid application for that.

Considering none of my drawing were intended to impress anyone, I dont really mind what a critiqe would have to say of them. I know my art is not master-peice material, its "Im bored, so im going to draw/use the computer to make art" material.
If it makes some one feel...good. If it does nothing for someone...alright. They were all done as a matter of being bored, so im not to concerned with what anyone thinks of it  .

To answer you... it is very easy to make, and I really could care less. If you want to make one, go for it, I really could care less. It doesn't represent anything, and I could really care less. Any meaning behind it is the eyes of the beholder, and I could care less. Its bellow satisfactory in your eyes, and I could care less.
Never-the-less, some people will find stuff like that interesting, I my self dont, but that doesn't mean I dont think its good in any way, sense, or form.

Your appeal is to reproducibility and lack thereof. Can you easily reproduce a particular snowflake? Then it must have value. Your snow argument is a semantic game in the first place, as was your response. Your argument was falacious from the beginning...as I demonstrated.

I understand that, which is why I mentioned "illusionary art" as a more accurate name for realism. Someone like Pollock thought that making illusions on canvas was inherently a lie.
And I see no difference between looking at a Pollock (or any abstraction) and listening to a wordless piece of music. Communication is possible despite the lack of realistic depiction. The only thing you need to acknowledge is that if you are not sensitive to the nuances of expression possible with "visual music" there are those who are. I'm very sensitive to it both by nature and training. |

OH so ART has to be INTENDED as art??? Well I cant speak with picasso and verify his painting are ART. So lets go burn them now. I cant speak with whoever took the horseshit pic... so I cant verify it's intended.
I certainly cant say abstract art is INTENDED. It certainly 100% looks like they put a canvas at their feet while painting an actual painting. The drops and mistakes is what results. Certainly not intended.
Oh and it's if ANYONE takes it as art... I just took it as ART for the purposes of the argument. I'm obviously not of the opinion that it is art... but that also means abtract art and other shit is art neither.
However if abstract art is to be considered art and not just a mess from accidents. That picture of horseshit must certainly be art also. It must be printed out and placed in a museum next to abstract art.
I guess we can go back and establish in my posts that YOU DO INDEED BELIEVE THAT PICTURE OF HORSESHIT IS ART!!!
