you put the image into a spoil thing.

So I cant critique the giant grainy blurred pic

Easily replicatable. Infact I could probably do that using vector imaging. So I could likely do an even better job.
It also doesnt depict anything seemingly. At least with fractals it shows the visual method of fractal math. Or ying-yang depicting how good vs evil yada yada.

So frankly I say it's below satisfactory. I see no valid application for that.

Considering none of my drawing were intended to impress anyone, I dont really mind what a critiqe would have to say of them. I know my art is not master-peice material, its "Im bored, so im going to draw/use the computer to make art" material.

If it makes some one feel...good. If it does nothing for someone...alright. They were all done as a matter of being bored, so im not to concerned with what anyone thinks of it Smile.

To answer you... it is very easy to make, and I really could care less. If you want to make one, go for it, I really could care less. It doesn't represent anything, and I could really care less. Any meaning behind it is the eyes of the beholder, and I could care less. Its bellow satisfactory in your eyes, and I could care less. Smile

Never-the-less, some people will find stuff like that interesting, I my self dont, but that doesn't mean I dont think its good in any way, sense, or form.

Strawman meet kmisho. Kmisho you know strawman... Strawman you are so silly. Strawman you shouldn't have that belief. Infact strawman you forgot about the fact that snow is quite abundant if you have some there's loads of other snow.
Your appeal is to reproducibility and lack thereof. Can you easily reproduce a particular snowflake? Then it must have value. Your snow argument is a semantic game in the first place, as was your response. Your argument was falacious from the beginning...as I demonstrated.

Perhaps I have a narrow definition of art, but I don't consider abstract art a form of art, especially pure abstract art. I can find something beautiful and aesthetically pleasing, but this does not make it art. Art needs to communicate and depict a degree of reality. Therefore, I don't think art is solely identified in the eye of the beholder. It should have some minimum standards, not just splashing colors around on a piece of canvas, like Jack the Dripper
I understand that, which is why I mentioned "illusionary art" as a more accurate name for realism. Someone like Pollock thought that making illusions on canvas was inherently a lie.

And I see no difference between looking at a Pollock (or any abstraction) and listening to a wordless piece of music. Communication is possible despite the lack of realistic depiction. The only thing you need to acknowledge is that if you are not sensitive to the nuances of expression possible with "visual music" there are those who are. I'm very sensitive to it both by nature and training.

heh... i like that. "classical or instrumental music ain't music because it ain't got no words in it!!!" sounds like "abstract art ain't art because it ain't a picture of sumthin real!!"

what the fuck moloth. Reply to my post. I'm waiting for you to tell me if ogrish and horseshit is art...

Again the factors I have applied take effect.

Can I replicate classical or instrumental music? NO???

Quote:
I take it more as X type music ain't music because it takes no ability or talent to produce it, ie. 95% of rap, whereas classical certainly takes a great deal of creativity and talent.

To be fair even much rap takes skill to do. However when you can pull an 8-mile and do it yourself... Yep.

Hmmm my notification must have dropped you onto your post and a pic loading sent me down the page some or something. I dunno.

Quote:
2. "ATI vs Nvidia completely, utterly, and ultimately is subjective also. " nope. very wrong. they are physically and utilitarily different. there are objective differences between two computer video cards. art is purely subjective.

On the contrary the basis of cards meld together to provide the standards such as shader models 3.0 or 4.0 and such. So there are no utility difference. So you fail.

Quote:
3. its not MY garbage and you have yet to define what 'art' is satisfactorily.

I dont believe I was needing to do so.

Quote:
4. "Nobody subjectively can find that beautiful. The metaphor is false. It is made up by ugly people for their self-esteem. "
i think the colors are very nice. it artistically shows both the vulnerability and horrible fecundity of life. again, you are wrong.

So you find ART in a harlequin baby... wtf.

Quote:
5. "Unless you concede the fact that you are making the definition of art so fucking generic that the term art is actually absolutely meaningless then."
not meaningless... just meaning that is dependent on the artist and beholder, that is: subjective.

So ART is whatever the artist says it is. Wow how so fucking generic. ANYTHING is ART to you then... how stupid.

Quote:
6. "Look at the COLOUR. Nice straw brown. With shadows and and the grey background of the ground. And the form. Absolutely unique. You can find soooo many other horseshit piles and you wont find similar form anywhere else. Absolutely beautiful. " You almost had it... and then you FAILED.
art is not necessarily intended to be 'beautiful'. if you think it IS, then that is one of the ways your view of art is deficient.

So you just contradicted yourself. I am the beholder of that horseshit pic. It is subjective you see.... and thusly I can apparently dictate that is art. It's also subjective so I can say it is beautiful. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder recall??? I'm disturbed that you place a generic pile of horseshit on par with all ART.

Quote:
7. "Do you agree that picture of horseshit is art? To be clear... you are forced to concede that; if you want your stupid deficiency sentence to go passed."
if that picture of horseshit is intended as art and, if anyone takes it as art,.. then it IS art. very simple. even a lulz-seeking, intentionally douchebaggy, and contrarian Munky should be able to comprehend that.

OH so ART has to be INTENDED as art??? Well I cant speak with picasso and verify his painting are ART. So lets go burn them now. I cant speak with whoever took the horseshit pic... so I cant verify it's intended.

I certainly cant say abstract art is INTENDED. It certainly 100% looks like they put a canvas at their feet while painting an actual painting. The drops and mistakes is what results. Certainly not intended.

Oh and it's if ANYONE takes it as art... I just took it as ART for the purposes of the argument. I'm obviously not of the opinion that it is art... but that also means abtract art and other shit is art neither.

However if abstract art is to be considered art and not just a mess from accidents. That picture of horseshit must certainly be art also. It must be printed out and placed in a museum next to abstract art.

I guess we can go back and establish in my posts that YOU DO INDEED BELIEVE THAT PICTURE OF HORSESHIT IS ART!!!

nope.. you're saying "must" when you should be saying "can" or "is able to be".

your use of absolutes, when in reference to a purely subjective topic such as Art, is immature and useless.

Whelan is a genius, Royo is a little too 'romance novel cover'-ish for me, and Boris is a living legend.
