I have not heard that one either.
I just listened to the old Infidel show with Evolution debated... the fundy insisted that dinosaurs were originally called dragons, and probably here herded and/or ridden by early man. gotta fit everything into 6000 years.
He wasn't sure if the dinosaurs were on the ark. He thought they were hunted to extinction by Man. |

because, of course, cavemen with pointy wooden sticks killed these to extinction:

Kent Hovind thought they were hunted by cavemen who bled them to death by tearing off their little forarms. Yeah.....

I have noticed that fundies do not like to resort to claiming that god created a universe in progress ie that god deliberately dated the universe to trick us into thinking that it is older than it is.
given this how could they explain the fact that we can see light from galaxies that are millions of light years away. You would not even have to go for millions of years away anything more than 6000 will do the trick.
I am sure you could get them to agree that the speed of light is constant and that it takes 8 mins to get here from the sun and 9 years from the nearest star. after all the universe is soooo BIG to show gods power. so in order for us to see light from stars that are more than 6000 light years away god would have to have created the universe with the light from those stars already on the way to us which is clearly a deceitful trick. |

ahahaha @ dinosaurs.
If they want to acknowledge that a billion year old t-rex fossil is evidence for the Noah story, then they would have to admit that the world isn't 6,000 years old.
I'm so sick of these moronic dick creationist 'scientists'. They are a bunch of total morons, trying to appear smart with the fancy title of creationist scientist. What a joke. An insult to real scientists. |

I've noticed that too. Some YEC's seem to feel embarrased by that. Makes you wonder if at some level they realise it's a highly absurd proposition. Still it follows from the YEC position. Some try to work around it by creating absurd rationalisations that create even more problems for the YEC position than it already has.
