Thank you sir!
He's just namecalling and naysaying at this point. Making assertions about circular reasoning and "mumbo-jumbo". No substance. Not even trying.

I got censored
I wish I had saved what I wrote. It was basically a rant, but with no swear words or anything. Some replies have snippets posted, but not the part about Christianity where I basically call it a hopeless delusion.
At any rate, I'm back at it again. At this point, I just want to keep the fire going to see how many bees I can stir up. _________________ "If we long to believe that the stars rise and set for us, that we are the reason there is a Universe, does science do us a disservice in deflating our conceits?"

At this point the lay-preachers are moving in to wrap things up with the usual sanctimonious mixture of piety and vitriol. They're just namecalling now, even Yamil joins in:
| Quote: | | I always say that people do not believe in God because they CANNOT but because they WILL NOT. |
Nice.
I never talk directly about religion in a discussion about evolution with fundies though. The intellectual cowards will only be too happy to seize the opportunity to change the subject to one where they can score points with preaching. And at preaching this crowd will not shirk away from slanderous comments based on how evil their opponents really are.
What a place!

I saw! Good show!
They removed one of your posts I saw. They may not have taken too kindly to you mentioning their "zombie savior". Oh well.....
I'm amazed at the preachy stuff about devils, closed minds away from God and Satans trickeries they throw at us. What in the world do they hope to accomplish with that? I suppose it's the level of discourse among that crowd. I mean, I know people say stuff like that and that such beliefs exist but somehow I keep being amazed that people actually say these things in actual conversation among normal people and expect it to be taken seriously or thinking that they've made a good point.
I think I'm stuck with the notion that even these people must at some level realise that they can't get away with spouting unsubstantiated nonsense. It strikes me as almost shameless!
Must be me.....

Abigail from Oregon:
| Quote: | FACTS: Who has facts?
TEXT BOOKS: Ink on paper.
HOLY BIBLE: "In the beginning God created", but that is too juvenile. In fact, it is so simple that a four-year-old can understand it. Isn't God awesome?
Liars and infidels want to flex their intellectual muscles parading their complex hypothesis with big words invented by the liars and infidels to explain the intricate workings of their imaginary evolution.
There is a fixed time in eternity past beyond which no man can trespass--"IN THE BEGINNING GOD"--6,000 years ago. All of the "primordial matter" in the world cannot change that.
Someone said: "The flawless manner in which all Bible prophecies are fulfilled in their appointed times proves that the text in which they are embedded MUST be the authentic WORD OF GOD. The Almighty Creator ALONE commands those legions of atoms so that they show up in the right places at the right times, turning Bible prophesies into history. God's own WORD, the Bible, clearly demonstrates SPECIAL CREATION. |
Reduced to making ugly rants apparently. Some people have retrograded back into the Dark Ages.

EXPLOSION!!!!!
I'm sorry, my brain cells have committed suicide bombing due to the sheer, unbelievable, ignorance that I have just witnessed from that thread. I'm just speechless at the majority of wanton and promotion of stupidity of people who actually fucking believe the Earth is just a few thousand years old, disregarding the past ancient civilizations that existed before them? Also not to mention the fact that they are making strongman fallacies poking at the "gaps" of fossil records saying "HA! There's gaps so you're 'eeeevilution theory' is FALSE!"
Not to also mention the AUDACITY to label science a religion when they DON'T KNOW what the FUCK science is by definition? When science is a process of research of ideas, experimentation, and conclusion, and that science itself is DYNAMIC and ever-changing as scientists discover new evidences, records, phenomenon that either updates, invalidates, or validates hundreds of scientific theories, and evolutionary theory was one of the ideas that helped began the research into genetics.
With their fucking cars, TVs, microphones to yell out their appeals to ignorance, products made because of science and technology, Why do I feel RELIGION and "religious people" take science for granted? They accept certain parts of science as long it benefits their narrow viewpoint.
Those fucking cherry-pickers. _________________ I have an online art gallery. Check it out at:
