It looks cold enough to freeze your nuts off - stay warm and wear your long-johns.
The air-conditioning unit looks a bit redundent at the moment

Sure looks cold like it was last week here in Olympia, WA. Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass monkey! _________________ http://freethinkernation.com

Man...that ice is so misleading. To the casual eye and at a distance, it looks like no great shakes, like a light snow fell, melted and re-froze. You barely realize that there's thousands of pounds of ice pushing on those tree branches and power lines. I bet you have a lot of problems with "black ice", HBA? That's gotta be the worst. At least frozen snow you can see. _________________

I understand how 'you guys' (north temperate zoners), have a problem getting your head around the idea of a place where January daily max temperatures hang around the mid-80's to mid-90's, like where I live....
That's Fahrenheit of course, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the only country still using that obsolete and illogical temperature scale, along with non-metric measurements in general... _________________ "To a committed free-thinker, blasphemy is not a crime but a duty" - me

A teacher in the jail told us the Fahrenheit system comes from some ancient form of measurement of royalty in Middle Ages Europe. Official measures were of the king's feet, an inch was the measurement between his fingers, or something like that. I don't even know if this is true. After all, educators from the local community college in a jail system have been known to spread disinformation in the past.
*Update: that teacher was just making stuff up to fill the hour and a half of lecture time.

So, about this year's ice storm, is this normal weather for winter? _________________ http://freethinkernation.com
