well its finally got above freezing during the day where I live, and the ice is melting now. (though a snow storm hit Oklahoma again this weekend fortunately for me, it missed the southeastern part of the state.

I had my gas space heater on full blast non stop and even had my back up electric space heaters going for a while. (still got my gas heater on full blast)

Man...that ice is so misleading. To the casual eye and at a distance, it looks like no great shakes, like a light snow fell, melted and re-froze. You barely realize that there's thousands of pounds of ice pushing on those tree branches and power lines. I bet you have a lot of problems with "black ice", HBA? That's gotta be the worst. At least frozen snow you can see.

yeah black ice is a major cause of wrecks when it occurs.

I understand how 'you guys' (north temperate zoners), have a problem getting your head around the idea of a place where January daily max temperatures hang around the mid-80's to mid-90's, like where I live....

That's Fahrenheit of course, for the benefit of the inhabitants of the only country still using that obsolete and illogical temperature scale, along with non-metric measurements in general...
