Exactly....what the fuck was he here for if not to suffer and die?

I saw it. I didn't like it either. I tried to see if I could enjoy it as just a piece of fiction, but, I wasn't able to distance myself from knowing that it is being presented as factual, so, I just couldn't do it.
But, as far as the over-the-top beatings, well, I guess that to me was just Hollywood. Could Indiana Jones really survive a nuclear blast in a refrigerator? No. I figure that even most Christians understood that the violence was for visual effect. So, I didn't think too much of that myself. _________________ Please visit my site at www.caseagainstfaith.com featuring critiques of Lee Strobel and other apologetics

I so happened to have been thinking about this yesterday.
Jews as the murderers of god has been the number one excuse for anti-semitism in the west since before the crusades. But the crucifixion can really only be viewed as a necessarily horrific suicide. No one killed jesus but himself (fogetting the problem that jesus was not really killed anyway).
Saying that it "doesn't make sense" is such a gross understatement that even calling it an understatement is an understatement. _________________ K Michau

First off the fall at the beginning would have killed any man. I worked in fall protection and even a six foot fall on a side loop of a harness would shatter your back.
Jesus bled more than a fucking elephant. Even after being flailed to a BBQ Pork chop he still had enough blood to squirt when he was being nailed to the cross and enough left over to bleed down the cross.
It got to be humorous. I'm glad I didn't see it in a theater as I was giggling the entire time double palm facing as I felt shame for Christianity and Christians everywhere.
How ANYONE could have left the theater thinking that bullshit was anything but a SICK fantasy is beyond my comprehension!
Lord of the Rings was more believable!
Mel Gibson is one sick SOB!
It is literally beyond my comprehension how any SANE person can take that story as history! I mean WTF?!? In the 21st century, the majority of my country thinks this happened?!?
unfuckingbelievable....just unfucking believable....
I can't fathom how this is believable....I mean the incredible HULK is more believable to me.
Christianity is a sick SICK CULT and shame on anyone fucking STUPID enough to think that shit is real.
I have little hope for my species.
Very little hope indeed..... |
Okay, besides that it is a work of fiction, I loved the scene in which he gets whipped... |
Is there a scene where he isnt? |
Devil's temptation... I was cheering and hissing. That devil was kinda lame... |
