slightly off topic..but not really
about a year and a half ago a group of friends and I went to a mexican restaurant on the south side of austin for a friends 21st to be followed by bar hopping on 6th st. Anywho as we walked in to put our name on the list a friend of mine who is an adament tennis fan instantaneously recognized pete sampras eating dinner with luke wilson. He begins acting like a 12 year old girl at a N'Sync concert and after about 30 mins gains the courage to go and ask for a picture with Pete. Pete graciously accept the gesture and begins to stand only to be nixed by Luke who doesnt want to make a scene while they were eating. Anywho my friend has been pissed ever since. So ya Luke Wilson sucks ass.

That happened to me and a group of my friends at Cafe Lux here in Houston. We were having lunch and saw Steve Francis and Clyde Drexler walk in with Les Alexander. At first we weren't sure if we should interrupt their meal, but Drexler and Francis both seemed to be okay with everyone else going up to them and taking pictures, so we decided to go ask for a picture. Alexander was being a total prick to everyone about it, telling us to make it quick. We were all laughing afterwards about how none of us would have even known who the fuck Alexander was had we not been there with a friend who is obsessed with the Rockets. Either way, we got our pics.

Don't forget, some people like the attention. They even go out of their way not to change their facial hair for 30 years just to be sure they are still noticed.
