First link has this girl trying to debate someone who randomly posted some stuff about evolution and such.
Second link is a link she provided as "proof" that the Bible is real...so therefore God is real..... i know
Okay, I'd like your helpfully quick debunking of that list of "proofs of the bible" so I can send it to her.
And I do know this chick, she went to the christian school I used to go to (long story lol), so yeah.
Well, actually, I'll just post the "bible proofs" list here:

I can help you with this one. This relationship was discovered about 100,000+ years ago when the first humans witnessed their first thunderstorm. Most of these examples are easily observable to the most ignorant of people. Others like man was the last animal 'created' are simply wrong. Also, nothing in the verses really points to scientific knowledge. If they discussed the germ theory of disease instead of pointing out scabs on a leper I might be impressed. I did get a good laugh out of it though. |

Well I sent her a link to that evilbible.com site that had all of those biblical contradictions that we were talking about on that other thread.
So I'll see how she responds to that lol. _________________

Look up the literal verses. Don't take her interpretation as unbiased. I would imagine that if you were to slap a book together through random processes that was as long as the bible, you would end up with at least that many coincidences. That is all they are is coincidences that are made more substantial by her biased interpretaion of their meaning. _________________ If you use the bible as your moral compass, chances are you're lost. |

The greeks knew this before the bible was written, they came up with the idea of the atom. Basically, if you take any object and cut it in half. Cut it in half again, and keep cutting it in half, you'll eventually get to the base building block, which they postulated to be microscopic, and they called it an "atom". No evidence of god here.

Well thanks for takin the time to do this, but it isn't going to convince this girl.
The "15th Century" and "19th Century" are talking about the dates that man discovered these things, and therefore stating that "the Bible already knew this stuff".
So "easily observable and testable" isn't going to really convince her.
She seems to think that there are some "potholes" as she described it, in evolution.
| Quote: | | My problem with evolution does not stem from wether or not it disproves the existance of God, because it does not. Its the fact that there are too many potholes in the theory of evolution for me to believe in it. |
You think they are starting to get it, then they throw intelligence out the window, lol.
